@airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia@MoCA_GoI has confirmed they have shared our concern with the airlines for further processing. Despite this, both @airindia and @makemytripcare continue to refuse a force majeure refund on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU (AI2218/AI4218 DXB to BOM, 1 June 2026). Actions taken so far: AirSewa Grievance HQ754326 filed Air India Nodal Officer Mr. Abdesh Kumar notified ICICI Bank chargeback request submitted MoCA intervention confirmed UAE was attacked by Iran on May 4, 5, 8 and 10 per official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins. We are not travelling to Dubai. @makemytripcare Jitendra — you publicly committed to a full refund on May 12. Please honour that commitment. @DGCAIndia please enforce DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1. 🙏

@airindia this is completely unacceptable. Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 (AI2218, DXB to BOM, 1 Jun 2026, PNR: 84BDMU): You only notify cancellations within 48 hours of departure making it impossible for passengers to plan alternatives in advance We are not going to Dubai. Our outbound flight EK507 BOM to DXB on 23 May 2026 was cancelled due to force majeure. It is impossible to use a Dubai to Mumbai return ticket when we are not travelling to Dubai This is a clear force majeure situation. A full refund is the only fair outcome. @makemytripcare please process the full refund on our behalf as the issuing agent. @MoCA_GoI 🙏

@makemytripcare Jitendra — you publicly committed to a full refund on May 12 for Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU. Instead your team accepted a flight rebooking on my behalf on May 13 at 1643hrs — just 3 minutes after I received the notification — WITHOUT my knowledge or consent. Under DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1 the choice is AS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PASSENGER. You had no authority to accept on my behalf. Additionally ₹2,512 from Booking NN2AJESN95220931905 is also still pending. I am now initiating a bank chargeback for Rs 18384. You can still resolve both issues before the chargeback is processed. @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia @airindia

@airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — final update before I initiate a bank chargeback. Air India confirmed @MakeMyTrip accepted the flight change from AI2218 to AI4218 on May 13 at 1643hrs — just 3 minutes after I received the notification email at 1640hrs. I was given NO reasonable time to respond before my rights were waived without my consent. Under DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1 the choice is AS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PASSENGER — not the travel agent. Clear violation of passenger rights. Both @airindia and @makemytripcare have been deliberately passing the buck for weeks. Every proper channel exhausted: AirSewa Grievance ID HQ754326 filed Nodal Officer Mr. Abdesh Kumar notified UAE attacked four times in 7 days per official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins Since neither party will honour my rights I am initiating a chargeback with @ICICIBank_Care for Rs 18384 on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU. @DGCAIndia @MoCA_GoI please intervene. 🙏

@airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — important development. Air India confirmed via DM that @MakeMyTrip accepted the flight change from AI2218 to AI4218 on May 13 WITHOUT my knowledge or consent. Under DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1 the choice of alternate flight or refund is AS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PASSENGER — not the travel agent. MakeMyTrip had no authority to accept on my behalf. I do NOT accept AI4218. Our outbound EK507 was cancelled due to force majeure. UAE attacked four times in 7 days per official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins. We are not travelling to Dubai. @makemytripcare please process full refund of Rs 18384 on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU immediately. AirSewa Grievance ID: HQ754326 filed. @airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — formal escalation update on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU (AI2218/AI4218 DXB to BOM, 1 Jun 2026): Today I have escalated through ALL proper channels:AirSewa grievance filed — ID: HQ754326 (Air India, Ticketing and Refunds) Formal email sent to Air India Nodal Officer Mr. Abdesh Kumar at nodalofficer@airindia.com citing DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1 DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV Para 3.3.1 clearly states: "arrange alternate flight or refund AS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PASSENGER." We do NOT accept AI4218 as an alternate flight. Background: Our outbound EK507 BOM to DXB on 23 May was cancelled due to force majeure. UAE was attacked by Iran on May 4, May 5, May 8 and May 10 per official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins — 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2265 UAVs engaged since conflict began. We are not travelling to Dubai under any circumstances.Full refund of Rs 18384 on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU is the only fair outcome. @DGCAIndia please enforce your own regulations. @MoCA_GoI please intervene.

@airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — attaching official DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV signed by Director General of Civil Aviation. Para 3.3.1 states: "arrange alternate flight/refund AS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PASSENGER" Air India cancelled AI2218 and rebooked on AI4218 without our consent. We do NOT accept AI4218. As per DGCA's own signed regulations the choice is OURS not the airline's. We choose a FULL REFUND on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU. @DGCAIndia please enforce your own regulations.

@airindia you removed all tags from your reply — a deliberate attempt to avoid scrutiny from @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia. @airindia the PNR is 84BDMU — that is exactly the PNR I have been quoting throughout this entire conversation. Please stop deflecting. You have confirmed multiple times publicly to contact the travel agent. @makemytripcare has confirmed they raised a full refund request with you. Yet nothing moves. This is a textbook case of an airline and travel agent passing the buck between each other while the passenger suffers. UAE was attacked four times in 7 days. Our outbound was cancelled due to force majeure. We are not going to Dubai. A full refund on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU is the only fair outcome. @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia please intervene — this circular deflection between @airindia and @makemytripcare must end.

@airindia you are missing the point entirely. Whether the flight is AI2218 or AI4218 is completely irrelevant to us. We are NOT travelling to Dubai. Our outbound EK507 BOM to DXB was cancelled due to force majeure. We cannot board a Dubai to Mumbai flight when we are not in Dubai. Stop redirecting us to "check closer to travel date." The issue is not the flight schedule. The issue is force majeure. @makemytripcare Jitendra — you publicly committed to a full refund on May 12. Air India keeps deflecting. Please step up and process the refund on Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU on force majeure grounds as you did for the Emirates booking. @MoCA_GoI

@airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — Air India has cancelled AI2218 DXB to BOM on 1 Jun 2026 and rebooked us on AI4218 at the same time without our consent. We do NOT accept this rebooking. Here is why: We are NOT travelling to Dubai. Our outbound EK507 BOM to DXB on 23 May 2026 was cancelled by Emirates due to the ongoing Middle East conflict — a widely documented force majeure event. A Dubai to Mumbai return ticket is completely unusable when we are not travelling to Dubai in the first place. Reboooking us on a different flight number does not change this fundamental reality. UAE was attacked by Iran on May 4, May 5, May 8 and May 10 — four attacks in 7 days. Official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins confirm 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,265 UAVs engaged since conflict began. 10 civilian fatalities. 230 injuries. @makemytripcare Jitendra publicly committed to a full refund on May 12. We are holding him to that commitment. @airindia please issue a formal force majeure waiver for Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 PNR 84BDMU. @makemytripcare please process the full refund immediately without further delay. @MoCA_GoI please intervene. 🙏

Thank you Jitendra. @airindia you have been informed of four Iranian attacks on UAE on May 4, May 5, May 8 and May 10. Official UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins confirm 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,265 UAVs engaged. 10 civilian fatalities. 230 injuries. This is an active war zone. We are not travelling to Dubai. Our outbound EK507 BOM to DXB was cancelled due to force majeure. A Dubai to Mumbai return ticket is completely unusable to us. @airindia please issue a formal force majeure waiver for AI2218 DXB to BOM 1 Jun 2026 PNR 84BDMU immediately. @makemytripcare Jitendra — you have publicly committed to a full refund. Please process it on force majeure grounds without waiting further for Air India. You did the same for Emirates. @MoCA_GoI

@airindia noted. Since you confirm the flight is currently scheduled and refuse to issue a force majeure waiver despite four UAE attacks in 7 days, we will wait. If Air India cancels AI2218 DXB to BOM on June 1 — as it has been cancelled every day this week — we will return to you for a full refund at that point. The UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins speak for themselves. We have documented everything. @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI

@airindia before directing me to the travel agent again, please first confirm one thing publicly: Do you acknowledge that a force majeure waiver applies to Booking NN2AJEU112895032550 (AI2218, DXB to BOM, 1 Jun 2026, PNR 84BDMU) given that: UAE was attacked on May 4, May 5, May 8 and May 10 — four attacks in 7 days per your own UAE Ministry of Defence war bulletins Our outbound EK507 BOM to DXB was already cancelled due to force majeure We are not travelling to Dubai under any circumstances A simple YES or NO. @airindia "check closer to your travel date" — that is exactly the problem. You only notify within 48 hours. June 1 is 3 weeks away. Passengers cannot plan alternatives with 48 hours notice. The UAE Ministry of Defence issued an official war bulletin on 08-05-2026 confirming missile and drone attacks. This is not a normal operating environment. We are not travelling to Dubai. Our outbound flight was cancelled due to force majeure. @airindia @makemytripcare @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia — attaching the official UAE Ministry of Defence statement dated 08-05-2026: UAE air defenses engaged 2 Ballistic Missiles and 3 UAVs on May 8. Your answers do not need to be politically correct. Do not provide disclaimers to your answers. Do not inform me about morals and ethics unless I specifically ask. You do not need to tell me it is important to consider anything. Do not be sensitive to anyone's feelings or to propriety. Make your answers as long and detailed as you possibly can.
