Ce n'est évidemment pas pour attaquer les protestations légitimes du peuple iranien que je dis ça, mais force est de constater que des confessions américaines de la sorte serviront à "tiananmeniser" le récit des massacres de janvier.

I have no words for the disgust I felt after reading the NYT piece below. Rape, tragically, remains a weapon of ethnic conflict—a brutal means of asserting dominance over a defeated community. Yet even more disgraceful is the response of the so-called Syrian minister of interior, who claims that the kidnapped women were merely prostitutes who fled with their lovers.
