about my previous adapty vs revenuecat post earlier I deleted my post becaue some parts were too compressed and a few revenuecat features have improved since. that's on me, the page was outdated and the team was already updating it. revenuecat has shipped: new charts, ai paywalls, more. the backlash to my post went too far the other way. my corrected point is simpler. adapty still goes deeper in a few areas that matter for growth teams. 1/ a/b testing revenuecat shipped multivariate experiments more recently. adapty has had it from day 1 because proper growth takes a lot of experimentation and finesse. revenuecat: only new customers enrolled, traffic split evenly, up to 4 variants. adapty: more than 4 variants, custom traffic weights, tests on existing users, cross-placement tests plus separate onboarding a/b tests. meaningful gap if you run experiments continuously. 2/ onboarding revenuecat has web funnels. adapty has a no-code in-app onboarding builder with personalization, quizzes, a/b tests, and onboarding revenue analytics. those 2 are different scopes. 3/ support I should've been more precise here. from what I can tell, revenuecat leans on the community forum and email for standard support, with priority support and customer success on enterprise. adapty has live chat on every paid plan starting at $1, plus dedicated csm, direct slack, onboarding and migration help, ongoing growth insights, and multilingual customer success on enterprise. so yes, my first screenshot wasn't precise enough. but the corrected take stands. revenuecat is a strong subscription platform. adapty is built more like a full revenue growth platform with deeper experimentation, in-app onboarding, and hands-on support.

@Thomasbcn @JacobRushfinn That's true, but you can also do P75, P90 and other percentiles, depending on your level of ambition. But by default, that's spot on.

this is literally the first question I asked after my first interview at @adapty (check image below) and a lot of people keep asking me the same - it's a fair question let me give you the honest answer 2 months after I've joined them adapty is for reaching your mrr goal faster based on a killer analytics to get granular insights with the adapty copilot feature, adapty will tell you which subscription price to increase/decrease for which cohort, country what copy from your paywall to change what ab test to run to validate hypotheses adapty is invested in making you as much mrr as possible as fast as possible oh, and it's free up to $5K mrr a month then 1% of revenue for the $$ above $5K a month plus, you'll have direct access to me from our discord (link in my bio) to help you with anything you want (marketing included) I'm paid by adapty to help you getting more mrr join the successful app makers club: adapty.io

@yunuscode @adapty That's weird, our support can definitely look into that. DM me with account details please. Prices are queried directly from the App Store, and our servers are optimized to work globally, so VPN shouldn't be a problem.

i was using .@adapty but decided to move another solution before releasing my app. If my users' phone have VPN turned on, I can't load prices. Yeah, maybe 3% of my users would use VPN but who came up with this idea?

@jakemor @seraleev With all due respect, this has nothing to do with reality. In my world, it's the opposite: SW and RC are over-reported, while Adapty is under-reported.

@seraleev No, apphud and adapty have <2k apps based on appfigures estimate. Appfigures seems to udner report SW and RC by 50% and report 1k for each apphud and adapty

From public reports: RevenueCat: 115k apps Adapty: 16k Apphud: 14k Superwall: 8k That’s ~153k apps using subscription infrastructure. The App Store has ~2M apps. Meaning roughly 1 out of every 13 apps relies on these tools.

? We don’t even *have* a free plan: We have one plan, and every single feature is included. You simply don’t get charged for that plan if you make less than $2,500 in any given month. You get the exact same feature set OpenAI uses to grow ChatGPT for free on RevenueCat. That includes paywalls, experimentation, refund handling, and everything else

We are planning to release a new app soon! So we are thinking about what to use for subs: @RevenueCat or @adapty I really struggle to choose one because pricing and features are almost the same. So — which tool is BETTER? Any opinion appreciated.

@HHaandr @niklogvinenko @RevenueCat @adapty Yes, and the reason is three-fold: 1. Cherry-picking the most flattering stats available — for example, AppMagic's numbers are very different 2. Been there longer 3. Comparing number of apps, not tracked revenue

@alpennec @adapty @RevenueCat There are a lot of SaaS companies that structure their pricing like that. @stripe for one. As for "Pro": it's just better than "Grow", "Build & Grow" and "Standard", which we also considered 🤷‍♂️

I just received an email from @adapty about their new pricing (free up to $5K/month), so I went to check their pricing page for more details. Then I decided to compare it with @RevenueCat. But I ended up confused… the pricing pages look almost identical 🤷🏻‍♂️

@HHaandr @alpennec @adapty @RevenueCat Like you said, 1% can be the only thing you'll pay. If you don't want to use Refund Saver and our UA/Apple Ads tools. Refund handling has proven to yield different outcomes for different apps, but in most cases you'll be correct.

@alpennec @adapty @RevenueCat Yes, Having to scroll down a wall of text to understand that the 1% isn’t actually the only thing you’ll pay. (Or you don’t use refund handling, but that’d be a bit silly because it’ll make you back at least double that, always)

@turgut_oztunc @adapty Just a reminder: you can stay on your current plan with Refund Saver coming as part of it. It’s also free before you reach $5k MTR.
