Their parent company does not own GoDaddy however and they’re not affiliated with BlueHost/HostGator.

@bluehost is the most unreliable company you can use for your business. We are now switching away from #BlueHost after 4 years because of the horrible support for customers! Good way of losing clients @bluehostsupport

@AlexVibeCode GoDaddy is not owned by Newfold digital. but you are right, BlueHost/HostGator/NetworkSolutions and others are.

Unpopular opinion: Bluehost, HostGator, and GoDaddy are owned by the same parent company (EIG). They rotate 'discounts' to create urgency. Same infrastructure. Different brands. Same renewal scam. Look for independent hosts if you want stability.

@tiartyos Unfortunately, this is common with the larger hosting providers as they restrict disk I/O, ram and cpu to very low limits. If you’re looking for high resource hosting, we’re here!

Hostinger is a scam of a service. Limit your resources under false pretenses just to upsell their BS services. If you do buy they leave you alone and then repeat in a month or two to upsell more garbage. #ScamAlert #Hostinger

any recommendations for a good host I can chuck wordpress on and have full ftp access to (so can chuck json, html files etc up directly)? SquareSpace has been nice and user friendly to now, but getting into stuff where I need a bit more direct control.

@ThisIsSingleton @bluehost It’d be a huge privacy violation for Bluehost to contact the owner or give their information to you, as that would be unsolicited since the domain isn’t for sale.

I love that @bluehost just allows people to sit on domains that haven't been used in 10 almost 11 years and they setup auto renew and there's no way to contact the owner and Blue Host won't help get in contact with the person even though their email & phone number is available.

After getting really unacceptable support from .@SiteGround who tries passing the buck and upselling when there's a larger system-wide issue involving WP Core/Site Editor + Woo... I am seeking a new host that doesn't throttle what they call "program executions" Anyone?

@LucyKomisar Moving from Bluehost is actually pretty simple. Most hosts will move your entire account including emails, for free.

@bluehost The problem turned out to be a plug-in for thumbnail photos that I don't recall every setting up. Took @bluehost 3 days to find this. Meanwhile the tech "experts" assured me it was something else. If I had another host that made it easy to move my site, that would be tempting

Just a tech problem I hope will not last. If you can't access my website it is because of the amazingly incompetent @bluehost that runs it. If I found a better hosting site I would go there.

One of my worst beginner blogging mistakes was signing up for 3 years with Bluehost “because it’s cheaper” Can’t wait to reach that 3-year mark next year and move to something that doesn’t crash at random
