@IsraelMFA The term “Nakba” today refers to the mass displacement of Palestinians around the time of Israel being established.
And the war started after the mass displacement started.

English

To the Nakba glorifiers:
The Nakba was the result of the Arab rejection of the UN Partition Plan & decision to launch war to annihilate the State of Israel.
You can't start war, openly vow to “throw the Jews into the sea,” and then pretend being the victim of the conflict you started.
The real forgotten victims are the 850,000 Jewish refugees expelled from Arab countries at the same time.

😂 This “Nakba Survivor” is literally a “European settler”
In the late 19th century, Muslim Bosnians (including Inea’s grandparents), fled Bosnia to Ottoman Syria, after Austria-Hungary took control of Bosnia.
They feared that now, the Christians will seek revenge after years of mistreatment.
Inea’s father’s family lived in Tulkaram, but he himself lived in Jerusalem where Inea was born.
In the 1930’s, Inea’s father had a Job in England, he returned to Mandatory Palestine after a few years, but in 1948 they decided to move back to England.
They were not expelled, and no one forced them to move to England. As a matter of fact, Tulkaram, and the old city of Jerusalem remained under Jordanian Arab control. Not a single Zionist to bee seen there.
So in summary, this is a European with no strong roots in the land of Israel, whose family made the decision to immigrate back to the continent of their grandparents instead of remaining under Arab control.
(And the “visit Palestine” poster on her wall is a Zionist poster by Franz Kraus to encourage Zionist tourism to the holy land. It’s not even the original poster, but a replica of the poster, with an additional Hebrew description mentioning his name 🤦♂️)

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor
Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.

This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. I’m all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden they’d feel compelled to do this?

@WRapfogel @RabbiPoupko @NYPDCommAffairs @NYPDBklynSouth Yes, it’s also one thing to protest policy and government. It’s entirely different to assemble with the purpose of harassing and intimidating citizens (who are of an ethnic and religious minority)
English

@RabbiPoupko @NYPDCommAffairs @NYPDBklynSouth It's one thing to have a permit to demonstrate someplace. It's another to allow them to be marauding thru totally residential areas shouting disparaging & threatening things. Pure evil.
English

Question to @NYPDCommAffairs
Who gave a permit to the KKKK (Keffiyeh KKK) to march like this through Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn?
If in fact they did not have a permit, why did @NYPDBklynSouth let this happen???
English

@JoeDanz @RabbiPoupko @NYPDCommAffairs @NYPDBklynSouth They’re not assembling to protest policy. They’re assembling to harass and intimidate other citizens. That’s the crux of it. That’s not why the first amendment exists.
English

@RabbiPoupko @NYPDCommAffairs @NYPDBklynSouth I asked that question to multiple officers and NYPD supervisors through the night. Most wouldn’t even answer, but what’s clear is there was NO permit. This video is the most info I got. They were restricting MY access even though I live there, but not the protestors.

Larry Wheels KICKED his cameraman out of the Bentley and LEFT HIM at a Wendy's after he tried to negotiate a RAISE from his salary 😭💀
"$2000 weekly? Think I'm made of money?"
"8 days a week, 25 hours a day. I pay him weekly, monthly, when I feel like it."
"I'm leaving him behind, tired of him. Too much back talk."
"Alright, fine. Get back in I guess."

After the first year of studying for his PHD in Italy, Benjamin Birely @HolyLandSpeaks1 was forced to flee.
Being an Israeli at the university made him a target and what began with students giving him the cold shoulder quickly escalated into a campaign of incitement and threats.
After a defamatory video was circulated calling him a "soldier out of uniform” and posts call him a “PhD in Genocide”, things went from bad to worse. Ultimately, he had no choice but to leave.
Now, Benjamin reflects on the fact that if that same activism were directed toward coexistence and dialogue, and those genuinely striving for peace, the outcome could look very different.

One Wikipedia editor spent 12 years removing Hamas's genocide charter, rewriting Zionism as colonialism and burying Jewish history.
He was just banned. His edits are still there.
Type 'Zionism' into Wikipedia right now. Look at the autofill suggestions. Then tell me this isn't coordinated.

@rpkaplan @afalkhatib outside of hamas control but inside Gaza... your math isn't matching. Logic needs some work
English

@afalkhatib Your suggestion to remove civilians would be seen as “proof” that Israel is going to annex Gaza. Removing civilians from Hamas control would be a logical solution, however, Israel is never viewed through logic lenses.

Multiple reports today indicate that Hamas operatives, using physical force and threats, blocked Palestinian workers and contractors, approved by the Board of Peace and Israeli authorities, from crossing the “Yellow Line” into the southern zone of the Gaza Strip, where Rafah once stood and where new temporary communities are planned. These sites are intended to move displaced Gazans out of rodent‑infested tents and into humane living conditions. The UAE has long backed this effort as an early step toward recovery, offering civilians an alternative to perpetual misery while the larger political and reconstruction questions remain unresolved. Hamas’s fascist leadership has no interest in any improvement in Gaza unless it directly empowers them, allowing them to siphon resources, rebuild capabilities, and maintain their stranglehold over two million Palestinians.
This is why I have consistently argued that the only meaningful interim step is relocating civilians gradually, in phases, across the yellow line and out of Hamas’s reach. Doing so strips the terror group of its last remaining leverage: the ability to weaponize Gazans’ suffering to extract Arab, regional, and international concessions that keep it in power. Hamas can be defeated militarily, ideologically, economically, and socially, but none of that is possible while it maintains an unbroken grip over the population. It is astonishing that some in Europe and the broader international community still cling to the same development models that entrenched Hamas’s rule in the first place; promoting projects that ignore Hamas’s absolute control over the red zone west of the “Yellow Line” and indulging the very Band-Aid approaches the group relies on to create a normalcy bias that treats its perpetual rule as inevitable.
There’s an alternate strategy: the international coalition’s approach in Mosul and Raqqa to defeat ISIS almost a decade ago. This entailed removing civilians from the terror group’s grip and areas of control first, confronting the militants, then beginning the long, difficult work of stabilization and recovery.

@DavidHannaJr @afalkhatib mostly likely Israel along with the clans that already are residing there.

@afalkhatib Who secures the civilian population in the yellow zone?

@XRogueTraderX @midaqih Any one that thinks ALL aspects of being a cameraman is hard is an ignorant moron.
English

@DanteHillmedo @midaqih I get what you’re saying, but these streamers don’t really need a cameraman s if they’re shooting a documentary. All of the equipment has been simplified into apps or AI editing software/cameras. You don’t have to be a professional anymore…Just a friend or family member.
