@turnitup211off Agree about early Beck, so prolific and great. This one is hit and miss though, a lot of stoned farting about and only a few proper songs. Though obviously one of them was good enough to be covered by Johnny Cash.

IMO, early Beck is peak Beck. Mellow Gold. One Foot in the Grave. Odelay. Mutations. And the often forgotten Stereopathetic Soulmanure. Maybe bc it does not have much in common with Odelay & co. It's noisy, lo-fi, messy and sounds more like Sonic Youth but worth coming back to.

Just looked up my favourite ever Onion article and discovered it was published 20 years ago today. Still think of it every time I see a terrible political cartoon, which is roughly every time I see a political cartoon. Including today, hence me looking it up in the first place.

@IrishCycle @UrbanistTOC It seems to be down to whether there's a verge or some other barrier between the path and the road. The RSA is worried about cyclists coming off the path into head-on traffic. But it's also confusing and a lot of people cycle in the left regardless.

@UrbanistTOC It's a limited thing to a small number of route. Most two-way paths aren't like this. In this case, it seems at least partly because the junctions at both ends are still not what they will eventually will be like.

The Department of Transport requiring high-vis around zebra crossing signs is a bit excessive for some situations...
