@milinddeora @Iyervval When foreign visitors came to office , they would request to be taken to ITC peshwari in mumbai for the Raan. Our vegetarian options work for vegetarians . Not for hardcore meat eaters for whom Meat has to be included in every meal. Nobody is expecting beef. But lamb/chicken/fish

Not sure what the fuss is about, but no serious foreign dignitary expects India to serve beef ribs. Respecting a country’s civilisational ethos is also part of diplomacy. And Indian vegetarian cuisine has tremendous range, sophistication & global appeal.

When Modi met Trump in Feb 2025, his cheap hand gestures on a question about Adani case made it clear that he has been compromised on this issue. In the last 1 year, Trump has abused India & harmed us economically but he is dropping the charge against Adani. PM is Compromised!

Sawantwadi is a pathetic town to visit. No greenery, people are not nice, food is bad, it is a hassle roaming around. Roads are bad. Please don’t come to KokaN. It will be ruined…I mean…. Your trip will be ruined.

Sharad Pawar got medical treatment from the United States in the 1990’s. Daughter, Supriya Sule, studied at Berkeley (United States). Grandson, under graduation from the UK, post graduation from the United States. Granddaughter also educated from the United Kingdom. These so-called leaders have virtually zero skin in the game in improving India for Indians.. have ruled over Maharashtra and at the centre for decades - but do not consider Indian facilities good enough for themselves or their kin. It is like this: Politician : “send your children to government schools and colleges, they are very good!” But the citizen asks: “but madam tell us, where do your kids study?” Politician: “that is none of your business!” Why don’t these people just shift abroad and perhaps contest elections there? Sickening hypocrisy.

The worlds most popular politician. India 🇮🇳 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Norway 18-19 May. While European leaders struggle to achieve 30% popularity in their own countries, Modi has an approval rating in India around 70. He is loved by most Indians. I believe this is due to his own life story coming from the most modest background in Gujarat, the strength and ideology of his party and that he is leading India at a time of rapid economic development. Western leaders should stop lecturing India and start being curious. They can learn a lot from Modi’s constant message about green growth. India is now the worlds third renewable nation. I have written welcoming Modiji for Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv. Here is the piece - in English. lnkd.in/eRnFgBQq

@Nithin0dha You are so wrong man. I studied an IIT. Hold a non-Indian passport. NRIs are connected emotionally to their families - not to the country. We know why we left in the first place. Read that again.

One thing that feels under-discussed in all the conversations about attracting foreign capital into India is the Indian diaspora. There is a large population of NRIs who are emotionally and financially interested in investing in India. But today, for many of them, the process of opening accounts, completing documentation, and actually investing in Indian markets is still far more painful than it needs to be. Making life easier for NRIs could be one of the lowest-hanging fruits for attracting long-term capital into India. This is something we’ve been focusing on heavily at @zerodha as well. Over the last year or so, we’ve made several changes to make investing as seamless as possible for NRIs. But there are still many frictions that exist because of regulatory and compliance requirements. Hopefully, SEBI and the government look at this more closely and think about how to make it easier for NRIs to bring money into India and participate in Indian markets. For a country trying to attract global capital, the Indian diaspora seems like the most obvious place to start.

@DefenceBrat Don’t agree with the elevated part of it. Ask anybody with mobility issues . I have knee issues and climbing up or down those elevated pavements is alsways a big risk. No developed country keeps a pavement that elevated . Even where low there is proper gradient for people like me

🚶‍♂️ This is how footpaths are SUPPOSED to look! Continuous. Properly elevated. So well-designed that bikes don’t even dare climb on them. Bhopal is quietly cooking with some of the best pedestrian infrastructure in India. Respect. Other cities, take notes. 👏 #Bhopal #UrbanIndia #WalkableCities

@tavleen_singh I am aware that the PM controls the govt, Ma’am. Just once I would like you to question why he appoints such incompetent people to important positions in the first place. Right from the FM to the Home Minister to literally everybody else

Step out of Charni Road station, Platform 4. You enter a footpath so narrow only one person can walk at a time. And even that is encroached. A little ahead, the footpath simply disappears and illegal parking takes over. This is how #pedestrians get erased from cities. @mybmc

I have lived in Borivali for 45.5 years now and I have seen asphalt roads for nearly my whole life. Even well made asphalt roads would get screwed up in two monsoons and develop potholes. The BMC would repair asphalt roads once in 4-5 years. Under Uddhav Thackeray's control, BMC would concretize internal roads at a rate of 50 km per year. Once Uddhav lost control in 2022, the NDA govt which controlled BMC through the administrator decided to concretize around 700 km of internal roads. For the first time, all roads in Chikuwadi, Shimpoli, Kastur Park area are now fully concretized with no potholes. Even a 15 year old concrete roads with cracks does not give a bumpy ride like potholed asphalt roads.

The kid and senior citizens parents were exhausted last night after dinner and I asked for an autorickshaw in Delhi to drop us 650m ahead. Autorickshaw guy asked for ₹100. I said thank you to him and booked an Uber (Hyundai Accent) instead for ₹60 instead. Why do these autorickshaw guys in Delhi even install meters if none of them follow it in the first place? Last mile connectivity in the form of autos/e rickshaws are not as affordable in Delhi, when compared to Mumbai.
