fucking ruthless lol. now we know why anthropic left the board of figma this week they built a product that not only replaces them it’s just better Figma stock is getting crushed on the news and already down 50% this year 💀 claude design > reads your code base, > creates a custom design system for it > uses new opus 4.7 to create design assets this is 90% of the work designers do.

@bcherny It’s quite something for a product to make me reconsider OpenAI. So props for that, never thought it might happen.

How are people feeling about opus 4.7 so far?

I feel bad dunking on them so much but it's genuinely absurd how bad the new Claude Code desktop app is. You can feel the vibe code leaking everywhere. Every "feature" is barely integrated and full of edge cases that weren't considered. Every menu feels barren, stuffed in last second for some random toggle. Every hotkey breaks as soon as you try to do anything else. I've lost track of how many bugs I've encountered. I found at least 40 in under an hour. And it's all truly absurd arcane shit. Stuff like voice mode typing in all input boxes instead of just the one you have focused. Any one of these issues would have been enough for me to do a massive post-mortem and likely fire someone. A $400b company shipping this is absurd. I feel like I'm going mad. How does anyone seriously use this?? It is broken on fundamental levels that are hard to comprehend. How are we supposed to trust the code these models produce if Anthropic's official showcases are absolute slop? Dedicated video on this coming tomorrow. Just needed to get this off my chest.

I used to be pretty all-in on Ahrefs for keyword rankings, traffic estimates, and all the usual SEO reporting. This year, though, I’ve had a few too many moments where I compare Ahrefs to Google Search Console and just sit there wondering how they can be looking at the same website. The gap is not small. You can look at Google Search Console and think a site is absolutely crushing it. Then open Ahrefs and see very little actual progress. Or sometimes the opposite. At a certain point, it gets hard to treat Ahrefs data as anything more than directional. I’ll still use it for keyword research, competitor analysis, and all of that. But reporting results off Ahrefs data alone just doesn’t make much sense to me anymore. The numbers are too far from reality.
