#Hyderabad City Police destroyed narcotic substances worth over Rs 4.56 crore on Thursday as part of its first drug disposal phase for 2025. The disposal covered 128 cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act across 26 police stations in the city between 2019 and 2025. Contraband destroyed across multiple categories— The drugs were destroyed at GJ Multiclave (India) Pvt. Ltd., Edulapalle, Nandigama mandal, Ranga Reddy district, under the supervision of the Drug Disposal Committee, Hyderabad City Police. The destroyed substances included: • Ganja: 1,585.9 kg • Cocaine: 6.47 g • MDMA: 159.4 g • Hash oil: 4,450 ml • LSD: 4 blots • Ecstasy pills: 4.6 g • Nitravet tablets: 3 • OBC paper: 2 sheets Police officials estimated the total value of the contraband at Rs 4,56,43,930.
