Today, while celebrating a birthday party with my friends, my entire bank account got emptied! I had planned the whole event thinking it would cost around ₹20,000–₹25,000. But this hotel completely blew my budget away. Before we started eating, the restaurant manager asked me how many people were there. I told him we were 16 people. He initially estimated that the food bill would be around ₹30,000–₹35,000, so I felt relaxed and went ahead with the party. But when the final bill arrived, I was shocked it was ₹56,000! When I spoke to the manager about it, he explained that many of the dishes we ordered were “premium” and very expensive. I politely asked, “Sir, can I get some discount?” But the manager replied rudely, “This is not a village dhaba where you will get a discount!” At that point, I had no option except to pay the full amount. Now you tell me can food for 16 people really cost this much?
