5.6M of you saw the launch film. It was shot on 16mm film. Not AI generated. We fundamentally disagree with the direction technology is pushing creativity towards. We're building a company about human emotion, presence, and connection. We spent days in the desert with actual humans creating something together. That moment when a group of people all lock in behind a shared vision is one of the most fulfilling human experiences. The essence of happiness is creating together. AI is incredible. We use it internally all the time. But there's a difference between using AI as a tool and using it to replace human craftsmanship. Right now, a lot of creative work is starting to feel optimized and generic. Perfectly generated. Perfectly forgettable. We wanted to make something that felt alive and nostalgic. Technology should not remove humans from the equation. Instead it should make us feel more human. That belief is at the center of Anoria. Not just in our product, but in how we build, design, communicate, and create together.

I’m thrilled to be joining @deviationcap, working closely with founders from day zero and backing the next generation of outliers. @windsurf /@cognition has been the highlight of my career so far, a truly generational company in every sense. I’m coming into venture having seen what excellence looks like up close, and I plan to carry that bar into Deviation as I partner early with founders across developer tools, infrastructure, and applied AI. Deeply grateful to @jeffwsurf, @ScottWu46, @theodormarcu, @akshatag77 and the entire Cognition team. What drew me to Deviation is a simple idea: the most important companies start as deviations from the norm. That clarity of vision, and working alongside @jpgg, made this the right decision. I’m especially excited about the opportunity to help shape an emerging firm with a true builder mindset from day one.

Proactive agent that thinks and acts like you. Multiplayer AI Brain for teams. Proper GUI for commanding 50 agents. Sauna.ai is all three. Sauna goes live today. First 2000 people, use access code LAUNCH for $80 of weekly(!) credits. Let’s explain. Multiplayer only works once the personal brain is powerful. So let's start here. Personal AI Brain 3,800+ tools connected. State of the Art memory. Skills and schedules you teach once that get repeated forever on cheaper models. An AI first CRM. Lives on the cloud so you can initiate tasks from anywhere: iMessage, Slack, Email. Also no need for a Mac mini 😉 GUI AI agents have been stuck in their MS-DOS era. A chat box, a scroll buffer, no way to command 50 of them. We built the first GUI: Live sessions on one side, work waiting for your sign-off on the other, plus the things Sauna kicked off while you were asleep waiting for review. Game mode helps clear the queue with actual joy. Okay so far so good, but how to give benefit of what you built to more people or whole team? Multiplayer Once your Sauna actually knows you and you gave her access to your tools, you can use multiplayer. Two modes: - Brain access. My co-founder Robert plugged my brain as a tool into his Sauna last month. He can ask it about pricing while I'm in other meetings, gets a sourced answer back, never has to interrupt me. That’s read only. Yolo mode gives him access to all my tools too :O - Communal Saunas extend that to whole companies with proper permissioning. Folder owners decide what's true for the whole company and build skills. Most get their personal brain + read access to communal files and memories. Works also for group planning my best friend's bachelor party. The Way I’ve been obsessed about AI Brain since 2016. Our human brains suck at some things like memory and are brilliant at others like creativity. We are also particularly bad at thinking we are all on the same page and then realising weeks later that we weren’t. Most leaders spend their days being the human diff tool, catching contradictions in hallway conversations and Slack threads. Repeating themselves 50 times. Now every company is spinning up hundreds or thousands of agents that drift faster than humans do, feeding each other their drift as context. Compounding rot. After 10 years and one failed company in this space we are launching the solution. The Launch We thought about a celebrity launch. Margot Robbie in a bathtub explaining agents. But then we realised the same money gives the first 2,000 people free daily credits, every day, until we burn through that $1,000,000. Sauna runs Claude, GPT-5, Gemini, GLM-5.1, DeepSeek, Kimi so you can budget yourself. The labs are racing to lock you so they can milk you in a year. We picked your side. Onboarding It’s live at app.sauna.ai We’ve preheated saunas based on a niche. Use the access codes in the comments to get a better experience.

I might be too much of an optimist but I just don’t buy the permanent underclass thing. I just think no matter how smart AI gets, there’s no way a motivated person will wake up each day and be unable to contribute to society.

1/ The future of general-purpose robotics will be decided by one major question: which flavor of data scales reasoning? Every major lab represents a different bet. Over the past 3 months, @adam_patni, @vriishin, and I read the core research papers, spoke with staff at the major labs, and mapped the talent pool. This has completely changed how we think about general-purpose robotics. Our paper builds intuition, step-by step, across the 2025 frontier: from architectures → evals → data → industry dynamics. Each layer reveals a different bottleneck, but they all converge on one truth—data decides everything. Our takeaways + process below👇 If you want access to our graph (sound on), comment or DM me

[overheard at a russian hill coffee shop] [[ scene: two new yorkers in SF; one is a solo GP (A), the other is a ~21 yr old (B) in the job market ]] A: so how are all the interviews going out here? B: oh dude, there's so many, i straight up told oai recruiter to skip the phone screen and get me in for final interview. already went through ramp, brex, but they're all too big. A: wow you're killing it. what about startups then? B: ugh the startups here all sound like scams. i talked to all the companies raising seed rounds and it seems like they're all doing it out of fomo. A: wdym? B: well my friend raised that 133m round recently. doesn't make any sense. A: oh yeah yeah i heard about that one. B: then there's at $30m seed on $400m. A: isn't that one legit? B: no idea, they just want to write papers. but that's not even close to being insane. A: yeah isn't there that other one from that stanford guy? $1b on 4. already 70% filled. B: yoooo yeah, absolutely nuts. 1 yr of work experience for $1b! how does that make any sense? A: its a bubble, man. i bet 5 out of 7 of these are going to zero in 2 years. B: ugh. oh yeah, my dad is also raising. i swear he's legit tho, he's spent 20+ years on his stuff. i would go work for him but it'll be bad if we disagree and i get kicked out. A: yeah yeah, let me hook you up with my friend at cohere. i'll find you some more sharp people to talk to. B: sweet, dude, thanks. my dad wanted me to help him fundraise, but i should probably find something else. A: no worries man, i got you. alright gotta run, see you back in NYC. B: peace. Super excited that @SunshineLakeVC is an early supporter of @itsCathyDi and @WindsorNguyen as they build @dedaluslabs . Huge congrats to the team on announcing their $11M seed round and continuing to push the boundaries of how developers build and deploy agents.
Cathy Di@itsCathyDi

We just raised an $11M seed to help developers build complex agents across any model and any tool in 5 lines of code. Our round was led by @KindredVentures (@stevejang) and @saga_ventures (@maxaltman, @braveben, @itsthomson). At @DedalusLabs, we believe the future of AI agents isn’t linear or deterministic. Agents should know when to stop, when to branch, when to reattempt a task, and when to pause and ask for context. As a developer, we make your job simple: define the prompt, select the right tools and guardrails, and let your agent run. We were tired of writing hundreds of lines of code and battling Dockerfiles and infra—all for a spaghetti agent that breaks under stress. With Dedalus, you don’t have to do things the hard way. Our open-source SDK supports vendor-agnostic model handoffs, chaining both local and hosted (MCP) tools, and streaming across any provider—all in 5 lines of code. Plus, our cloud infra lets you deploy an MCP server in 3 clicks so anyone can equip their agent with your tools. Let us do the heavy lifting so your agents can fly 🪽 Thank you to our incredible team and our early supporters: @c10n, @habibh from @e14fund, @YazanElBaba from @emergencecap, @donnystalter from @SunshineLakeVC, @karrwinn from @transposevc, @liquid2V, @fpvventures, @forwarddeploy, @AntWilson, @iamcal, @Thom_Wolf, @ashtom, @HazanPrinceton, @tri_dao
