I hope Tom Kean Jr is getting help he needs, but this situation is unacceptable.
Missing for 2 1/2 months. His home is darkened, wife & dog haven't been seen walking streets.

@patrickgaspard No, Harrison is right. Releasing the report now would be a distraction. Better to wait until after the midterms at this point. Do it in early 2027 and consider how to apply it to the presidential election cycle. That’s when it would be most useful.

Uhm. As both a black man and a former DNC director I expect to be in a Party that fights like heck for voting rights and also holds itself accountable by releasing a damn report on what it did with billions of dollars while losing to a corrupt madman. This ain’t hard.

But while some folks were obsessing over a report most Americans will never read or care about, Black voters in the South were staring down the possibility of losing voting power for generations. This may not be a priority for some people. But as a Black man from the South, this is about my existence. It’s about the environment in which I’m raising my sons. It’s about whether my children grow up in a state and a country that sees them as equal citizens whose voices matter. This is personal to me. This is about survival. We are months away from what I believe are the most important midterms of my lifetime. The Democratic Party cannot afford distractions, vanity projects, or circular firing squads while the fundamental rights and representation of Black Americans are under attack. History is watching all of us. Release the damn thing after the midterms but before the presidential elections, but in this moment we must FOCUS!

There are two windows to release a report like this without it becoming a distraction: 2025 or after the 2026 midterms.
And let’s be honest, a lot of people are making huge assumptions that they are about to learn something earth shattering.
But what really struck me was this: y’all spent two straight days talking about and promoting your interview with Ken, while posting virtually nothing about the Callais decision on the very day the crown jewel of the Civil Rights Movement was gutted and Jim Crow 2.0 was effectively reborn.
Think about that.
You weren’t the only ones but that silence spoke volumes to a lot of us.
And beyond that, the interview and the fallout from it created a massive distraction that continues to drain time and resources from the DNC: communications staff managing chaos and other stories, fundraising teams dealing with donor anxiety, leadership forced into damage control.
Those are resources and hours that should have been focused on Callais, protecting voting rights, and preparing for the midterms.

The reason to release the DNC audit is to learn from the mistakes of the past so we don’t make them again and suffer another catastrophic defeat like 2024. Winning is how we protect voting rights.

I don’t know how many times I’ll have to repeat this, but here we go.
The money he keeps ranting about was Iran’s money that we owed for military equipment the Shah bought but we never delivered (plus interest). We repaid it to settle a dispute before the Iran-US Claims Tribunal because we would’ve had to pay far more if the tribunal had ruled in that case.
The cash he’s talking about was delivered in Swiss Francs and Euros because we could not actually transfer dollars to Iran.

I think this is worth reading, even if you don't end up agreeing with all of it. Trump gets most of the blame for the sickness, but the sickness is still spreading.
And yes, I also think it's better to deal with this by actually engaging with these views, because they're not just going away on their own.

And Darnell Wright will be there soon he was pick 10. If you want a Hall of Famer (Lane, Sewell, Wirfs) then sure you got to get them high. But let’s not act like you can’t find top of the line RTs later on, whether that’s late 1st round, 2nd round, or even further back. You’ve only got four top 10 picks of the top 16 highest paid RTs.
