@SchoonerLita The idea was if politicians were well paid they would be above corrupt - hence Australian politicians getting outrageous salaries & allowances & what a furphy that has proved to be - the more they get the more they want & will go to any lengths to fill their pockets Grifters

Albanese has a complete deficit of integrity. An immoral man dressed to appear as a presentable human while people are murdered by Israel on his watch. The blood of Iranian, Lebanese, & Palestine men, women & children are on his hands! Shame on him! @AlboMP
Francine@francinepinnuck

@AlboMP @geoffrey_payne We don’t feel very safe when our govt is dead silent when our citizens were subject to Israeli violence in international water. You said nothing! Acted as if it didn’t happen & then you posted banal stuff about working for Australians Your silence is a terrible reflection of YOU

Faint stirrings, are just that faint. Many Labor voters are fed up with @AlboMP @SenatorWong & that US sycophant @RichardMarlesMP . Labor choosing to spend billions on subs we will never get, appeasing the genocidal Israel, not taxing gas. Albanese needs to go.
Doug Cameron@DougCameron51

At last! The faint stirring of caucus concern at the lack of Labor values. Failing to tax super profits, the militarisation of our economy, neo liberal housing policies, sacrificing sovereignty to the US and failing to call out Israeli genocide was destined to stir discontent.

I propose a new class name for the next 🇦🇺 submarines Farce For that is what the entirely predictable outcome of this epic boondoggle (a wealth transfer program from 🇦🇺 taxpayer to the 🇺🇸&🇬🇧 MIC dressed up as a capability acquisition program) is... x.com/i/status/20511…

The Aukus debacle is getting very real when some of its biggest advocates are starting to scratch around for “plan B.” Predictable.

The UAE, Australia's biggest trade/investment "partner" in the ME, is also the main financial, military and logistical backer of the RSF—probably the most brutal, rapey, genocidal paramilitary force in existence. This also makes Australia complicit in the #SudanGenocide. #auspol
Susan Smith@SusanSmithAus

The UAE’s claim that it is only acting ‘defensively’ has come undone This revelation makes the Australian government’s claim that its military contingent in the UAE is only acting ‘defensively’, as an absurdity Consequences: “The UAE is now Iran’s primary target” #auspol

Even if the oil and gas tax structure was well-designed (it's not), here's the key fault: Australia only gets paid for *our* resources, if the company makes a profit. If it doesn't, we've given the oil and gas away *free*? In what sane world does that make sense?

Only around 10-14% of Australians have an income of more than $100K per year. More than a third live on <$26K per year. How can politicians and billionaires relate to the challenges faced by people living in poverty?

Well, well, well. Who is exactly IS running Australia, @AlboMP? Toto? Because in 2023, Peter Dutton - Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles' best friend - said that he would cut the NDIS to fund submarines. And it is probably not a coincidence that the brutal razor-gang commissioned to kill off the NDIS we fought for has proposed that we cut the NDIS to 'save' almost exactly the same amount as it will cost for #AUKUS submarines. Here is the math: If the government cancelled its NDIS cuts, it would cost the budget $17.6 billion over the next four years. This proves the government is taking exactly $17.6 billion away from disabled people. If the government cancelled the AUKUS submarines, it would save $18.0 billion over the exact same four years. The problem is that by choosing war over people, you've created a war of another kind. A war with disabled people, our families, our workers and supporters - and with 204,000 jobs and 300,000 lives on the chopping block, a Federal election in two years is looking pretty grim. Disability groups released fact sheets today about the sustainability of the NDIS and the real facts on sustainability, fraud, institutions and registration of providers. dpacaustralia.net/get-involved/d… We are going to kill our most vulnerable, including disabled children, to pay for war machines. That doesn't seem right, or fair. Let alone humane. This will be a genocide of another kind. And the idea of Defence is to PROTECT AUSTRALIANS - including those who cannot fight for themselves. @AustralianLabor is going to lose the Federal election, and it will be because of what they have done to a third of our countrymen. Shame. #auspol theguardian.com/australia-news… #AUKUS #Gaza #NDIS #KeepThePromise #ProtectOurNDIS

Ring Doorbell can record audio from as far as 30 feet away, which means people are unknowingly spying on their neighbors every single day. What’s even more concerning is that Ring has already been caught giving recordings to law enforcement without warrants. These devices aren’t about keeping an eye on your home — they’re about keeping an eye on everyone. They’re tracking your neighbors, recording private conversations, and feeding data into the growing surveillance grid. Every new Ring device installed is another camera for the state. Another microphone for control. Another illusion of safety traded for freedom. We don’t need to hand over our privacy in exchange for convenience. If you want to protect your home without becoming part of the surveillance web, look into closed circuit cameras with local storage — systems that keep your data where it belongs: in your hands. "Clearly linked to events in the Middle East." Commissioner Virginia Bell has just told the Commission that the “sharp spike in antisemitism" is "clearly linked" to Israel’s wars in the Middle East. “It’s important that people understand." Do politicians understand?💥 #auspol

@ChrisMinnsMP is this your idea of how who should be training and influencing our NSW police force, it’s repugnant and disgraceful
Ferdie Khnopff@FKhnopff

@BevFloyd10 NSW Police have travelled to Israel for training and advice on surveillance and biometrics. NSW & Israeli police & IDF also work closely with Israel's nascent 'CSG' paramilitaries in Australia, CSG. As do the AFP. Ben-Gvir is Minister for Israel's police. timesofisrael.com/naftali-has-no…

Literally, we’ve spent our whole lives being told our purpose was to feed the economy and make life prosperous for shareholders. In doing so, we’ve given up everything else: art, poetry, cinema, literacy, cultural memory, the natural world. Gone. All of it gone to feed the maw.

Instead of worrying that humanities degrees don’t prepare students for jobs in today’s world [product managers finance consultants startups], we should worry that we’ve created a world with such little value for literature, art, philosophy—anything that expresses the human soul

Israel must immediately release the activists it has kidnapped in int'l waters. Persecuting those who oppose Apartheid is part of the crime of Apartheid. Israel won't stop bullying killing and torturing people until it is forced to: Boycott, Divest, Protest, Activate courts now.

In this image… we are not looking at a passing moment, but at humanity being crushed before the eyes of the world. An elderly man… unarmed, voiceless, holding nothing but a few vegetables to earn his daily bread with dignity. Yet even that dignity was taken from him. Armed soldiers… facing a defenseless man. His belongings fell to the ground—and with them, something far greater fell: Justice… and humanity. Look closely at his trembling hands as he covers his face… Is this something that can be justified? Is this the “security” they speak of? Or is it systematic humiliation… repeated so often it has become routine? The pain here is not measured by the food scattered on the ground… But by the heartbreak poured into this man’s soul. This is not an isolated incident. This is the story of a people humiliated every day— A people expected to endure, to normalize the unbearable, and to remain silent. But silence here is a crime. To everyone watching: Examine your conscience… Do you still feel? Or have we become just another image scrolling past your screen? Gaza… Palestine… are not numbers. They are faces. They are fathers. They are tears waiting to be wiped away. Do not normalize this. Do not justify cruelty. Do not be part of the silence. #Palestine #Gaza #SaveGaza #EndTheSilence #HumanityUnderTest #Trending #Viral #FYP
