Here's the English translation of the French email (split across the 3 screenshots): **Subject:** Re: Request for information on homologation of the FSD Supervised system (Tesla) From: DGEC/DCEEA/SD6/CNRV (National Vehicle Reception Center), sent by Sylvie Wunderle... Dear Sir/Madam, We have noted your message about Tesla's "FSD Supervised" system. Note that RDW has not issued European homologation for this system. RDW provided a provisional EU type approval, valid only in the Netherlands, based on Article 39 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858. In fact, "FSD Supervised" does not comply with international or European regulations on driver assistance systems (UN Regulation No. 171). It allows system-initiated maneuvers (e.g., lane changes) in any environment, including urban—unlike BMW Motorway Assistant or Ford BlueCruise, which operate only on highways/freeways. System-initiated urban maneuvers are not yet authorized by the UN, as experts lack sufficient data on a human driver's ability to supervise while the system considers them responsible. The manufacturer must assume its fair share of responsibility. If the Netherlands submits a derogation request for EU type approval, France will carefully review RDW's safety evidence to ensure equivalent safety levels. Authorization/refusal will follow the European Commission's procedure per Article 39 of Reg (EU) 2018/858, with France's participation. France will not authorize FSD before this decision. The Ministry of Transport prioritizes your safety based on neutral, reliable data. Best regards.

Certains applaudissent l’optimisation.

🇳🇱 RDW Staus Wednesday 25th Feb. Still no white smoke from the RDW. But we do have a new sub-version, 2026.2.6.1, which began appearing on UK vehicles today. And some info on the confusion between 2027 roll out and 2026. According to Teslascope and TeslaFi logs, this version is specifically being pushed to UK and Australian cars today. This build is a "Stability and Compliance" patch. While it doesn't unlock the FSD menu yet, it includes the latest vision-based high-fidelity park assist and refined logic for "European-style" road markings. It confirms that Tesla is keeping the UK fleet on the absolute edge of the software branch. teslascope.com/software?hl=en… UK: The "Spring 2026" Pilot Confirmation Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) documetation confirms the government is "on track" for the Spring 2026 launch We are essentially waiting for the RDW to "blink" first, which will trigger the UK's next move. 2026 or 2027? 2027 is the real date for "The Full Rollout" The Automated Vehicles (AV) Act 2024 is currently in its secondary legislation phase. The UK government (via the DfT) has stated that the entire framework—meaning insurance rules, licensing for "no-user-in-charge" operators, and full commercial robotaxis—is expected to be fully implemented by the second half of 2027 shma.co.uk/our-thoughts/u… The Department for Transport (DfT) issued a statement last month that they are "fast-tracking" pilots of self-driving services to begin in Spring 2026 Under the Automated Passenger Services (APS) the government is allowing companies to bypass the 2027 "Full Act" and start "small-scale pilots" a year early. Tesla is currently applying to be part of these 2026 pilots. Which would mean a "Supervised" rollout for a limited number of UK owners (likely those with HW4/AI4 hardware) before the "unrestricted" 2027 launch. While the UK does not follow the RDW legally, the DfT is shadowing the RDW's technical data. If the RDW (Netherlands) proves the software's safety this week, it makes Tesla's application to the UK's VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) much faster. The UK won't "follow" the decision, but they are using the exact same data set that is currently sitting on the RDW's desk.

Hear me out: RDW might not approve ANYTHING this month regarding Tesla FSD I think we all misinterpreted what they published on November 24th. Read again what they wrote: "[...] we can state that the RDW and Tesla have established a schedule, according to which Tesla is expected to demonstrate in February 2026 that FSD Supervised meets the required standards". Yes, they go on to say "Both RDW and Tesla are aware of the efforts needed to reach a decision on this matter in February.", which does sound promising, no doubt. But the sentence also warns us about the effort required! If Tesla's demonstration drives went flawlessly and an announcement is indeed imminent, we can look at the RDW's operational habits to predict the timing: Preferred Days of the Week: An analysis of the RDW's press releases and major policy announcements over the last two years reveals a strong structural bias toward Mondays and Thursdays. For example, their major public clarification regarding Tesla FSD was published on a Monday (Nov 24, 2025). Other significant regulatory and infrastructure announcements frequently land on Thursdays (e.g., Dec 18, 2025, and July 4, 2024). Time of Day: As a Dutch government agency, the RDW almost exclusively publishes formal updates during standard European business hours, typically in the morning or early afternoon Central European Time (CET). Lack of "Event" Days: The RDW does not hold scheduled keynote meetings or press conferences for individual vehicle approvals. Announcements are published to their news portal the moment the internal bureaucratic sign-off is complete. It might all very well take a bit longer for them to look through the data. Or they find minute details that they first want to see corrected before approving. So: this could still drag on for a while!

🇳🇱 RDW Staus Tuesday 24th Feb. As of this evening, there hasn't been a "big red button" announcement, but all the stars are aligned perfectly for imminent approval. Here are the three most critical updates from today. 1. The "Safety Principles" The UK Department for Transport (DfT) released a quiet but vital clarification regarding the March 5th deadline today. The DfT confirmed that the Statement of Safety Principles will specifically include a "Performance-Based" validation for User-in-Charge (UiC) systems. Why this matters: This confirms that Tesla won't have to follow old, rigid rules (like "the steering wheel can only turn X degrees"). Instead, they only have to prove that FSD Supervised is statistically safer than a human driver. This is the specific "win" Tesla needed to bring the US-style software to the UK. gov.uk/government/cal… 2. Software Update 2026.4.1: The "EU Toggle" Technical logs from Tesla’s internal staging servers today show that Build 2026.4.1 is being pushed to "Internal Fleet" cars across Europe. Code-trackers have found a new variable in this build labeled is_supervised_active_eu. The Significance: This is essentially the "Master Switch." Tesla has now built the software so that they can activate FSD (Supervised) for every car in Europe instantly via an over-the-air command once the RDW or DfT gives the word. They wouldn't add this "production switch" to the main code unless they expected to use it in the next few weeks. [Source: Tesla Software Tracker] 3. RDW "National Exemption" Update While the Ministry has not filed the Article 39 exemption yet, sources close to the RDW in the Netherlands indicate they have finished the "City Driving" portion of their audit. The Final Step: The RDW is now reportedly in "Phase 4: Safety Documentation Review." This is where they cross-reference Tesla's 8-billion-mile safety data against the results of the Eindhoven and Hague tests from last weekend. The Target: If the RDW follows its typical pattern, they will provide "Technical Advice" to the Ministry by Friday, Feb 27, which is the final business day of the month. The Bottom Line: We are seeing the "Software Ready" (the EU toggle) and the "Legal Ready" (performance-based rules) align perfectly for a March rollout. The "silent" period we are in right now is simply the RDW and DfT doing their final paperwork.

🚨 BREAKING: FSD Supervised Launch in Europe/UK Imminent? 🇪🇺🇬🇧 New deep-dives into the source code of Tesla’s regional websites, the Dutch RDW (Regulator), and the UK Department for Transport (DfT) suggest we are in the "final seconds before midnight" for FSD Supervised in Europe. Here is the technical breakdown of what was just discovered: 1️⃣ Tesla Website: The Infrastructure is LIVE 💻 Hidden within the Dutch (NL) and UK source code, specifically in the fsd-billing-module.js and hidden Javascript bundles: • The €99 Hook: A commented-out line confirms the subscription model: // const monthlySubPrice = "€99"; // Pending regional compliance. This mirrors the US $99 price point. • The "Trial" Button: A hidden UI component tagged demo-drive-cta contains the text "Start uw proefperiode" (Start your trial) and "Order Now," currently set to display: none !IMPORTANT;. Tesla is literally one server-side "True" flag away from flipping the switch. 2️⃣ RDW (Netherlands): The Gatekeeper is Ready 🇳🇱 The RDW often leads European type approvals. Recent XML sitemap leaks reveal: • Exemption Registry: A pending entry for a "National Exemption - Software Suite v12.x/v13.x". • The Status: It is currently marked as "IN_REVIEW_FINAL". This suggests technical approval is complete, and we are only waiting on the administrative signature. • Metadata Leak: Keywords like TESLA-VAL-2026 have appeared in recent RDW newsroom updates, signaling 2026 as the definitive validation year for Tesla’s tech in the NL. 3️⃣ UK DfT: The "403 Forbidden" Smoking Gun 🇬🇧 The UK’s Center for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) appears to have the paperwork ready: • Reserved URL: A new hidden link has been detected: gov.uk/government/pub…. • The 403 Error: Clicking it yields a "403 Forbidden" response. In web-dev terms, this means the page exists on the server but is restricted to admin IPs. It is a classic "pre-deployment" state for a major government announcement. Summary: We aren't just looking at "hopes" anymore; we are looking at localized code, finalized pricing, and government-reserved URLs. With the UK's Automated Vehicles Act now in play and the RDW in the "Final Review" stage, the wait for FSD Supervised on European soil is nearly over. Buckle up. 🚀 Source: @jstern111 #Tesla #FSD #FSDSupervised #TeslaEurope #TSLA #AutonomousDriving #RDW #EV

Austria FSD Supervised update 🇦🇹 This is based on findings shared by @Jstern111, who analyzed Tesla’s Austrian website files and public regulatory references related to BMK (Austria’s Ministry of Transport). Here is what was found: On Tesla’s official Austrian website: • FSD is still listed as “Volles Potenzial für autonomes Fahren” (€7,500) • Hidden site components already exist for a FREE 30 day FSD trial (“Starten Sie Ihre kostenlose 30-Tage-Testphase”) • A monthly subscription structure (~€99/month) is already built into the website but currently deactivated In simple terms: Tesla’s Austrian web infrastructure looks prepared, but the feature is not switched on. Regulatory side: • Austria’s BMK typically follows EU mutual recognition after Dutch RDW decisions • The RDW decision expected this week remains the key trigger • If RDW approves, Austria could move forward without a separate long approval process Additional signals: • Tesla Austria support documents recently started using the wording “Überwacht” (Supervised) • Increased validation data activity has been observed from Austrian vehicles Important: nothing is approved yet. But based on what Tesla has prepared and how BMK usually operates, Austria appears staged and waiting for the RDW decision.
