Been renting an @Enercare water heater since 2013. Last night it flooded my basement. No shutoff at tank=no water in the house. They won't replace it until tomorrow. We’ve paid for this thing 3x over—yet they don’t replace at end of life. Terrible service. Never renting again.

It’s the risk of all IoT products. If the cloud service is out or the company goes bankrupt, you are left with an expensive brick.

Other than that snafu, moving my first year student in was a breeze. Phenomenal @queensu volunteers had the car unpacked in minutes. Great spirit and energy on campus. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s going to be an amazing year ahead for him!

@ITQueensU please provide open access to the Internet on move in day from residence room’s Ethernet drops to allow students to get their router set up. Blocking Internet access means no firmware updates, no app setup, and hence no way to login with NetID.
