No, it is inactivity towards God. And Romans 8:7-8 doesn’t say the enemy of God cannot change their mind about how they feel about God.

@1984_nate Romans 8 is terrible for proving prefaith regeneration because it skips right over unbelief to having the Spirit dwelling in you, which happens after faith. There’s a step missing that they need to make their argument.

If God ordained sin so as to glorify Himself or bring Himself maximum glory, doesn't it necessarily follow that God needed sin so as to be maximally glorious?

@masonbruza1 @1984_nate I don't think that Nate would deny that God is the creator and sustainer of the universe and everything in it.

Primary vs. secondary causation. God being the primary cause does not eliminate secondary causes. This isn't a Calvinist thing it's affirmed by Reformed, Lutheran, and even Catholics because it comes from the doctrine of God itself. Denying God as primary causation makes God like Zeus and just another being (albeit a powerful one) alongside us rather than the Creator and sustainer of all things.

Nehemiah 9:8 You found his (Abraham) heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him What an odd thing to say if Calvinism is true and God caused Abraham to be faithful in the first place. Hm...

I never bought into the Calvinist arguments, even while I was still wading in the shallows on soteriology. I believe I owe a big part of that to the training I had in symbolic logic in college.

@evotavausa @slipperstillfit I think it is ok to consider him a back court player. He won't be playing much down low or at the elbow. He's a perimeter guy who drives, handles, passes, and stretches the floor (plays like a guard).
