@sciencegirl I’m an investor and I’m pretty sure Boxabl is a scam. Just look at the number of units they have actually delivered in their long history. Hope I’m wrong.

@bhalligan @dickc Wait but he didn’t fix it. They had 10 years of no progress, right?
English

Most companies don't kill ideas by saying No. They kill them by making you ask 14 people for permission.
@dickc fixed this at Twitter when he was CEO with one rule: only your direct manager can block you.
"Experiments started flying out."
That's bias to yes.

After two days of testimony, it’s clear that Greg Brockman put tremendous time, energy, and effort into OpenAI.
However, OpenAI was founded as a charity. By definition, a charity does not exist to enrich its founders, employees, or investors.
If Greg wanted to build personal wealth, he should have launched a for-profit company, as he successfully did with Stripe. Greg testified that his stake in OpenAI is now worth $30 billion. Imagine the president of St. Jude’s or Habitat for Humanity doing the same.
Greg also testified that OpenAI sold its API and products commercially to make money, not to benefit all of humanity—the stated mission of OpenAI.
The fundamental issue in this case is simple: you cannot convert a nonprofit into a for-profit.

I was telling someone the other day, this ai time reminds me of the AIM, geocities time for me. It’s a whole new world of fun. Staying up late because of the excitement.

@dwtks11 @XBusiness Totally agree with this. Well said Drew. Wonder how x can solve this.
English

@XBusiness Several other people have already mentioned it, but the disconnect between premium users not seeing ads and ROI is a barrier to entry. The highest likelihood to buy users are also the ones who respect their experience enough to pay to disable ads.

Poll: Majority of Michigan voters oppose data centers being built in their community themidwesterner.news/2026/04/poll-m…

@KevinKijewski @DonnieDetroit19 “55% don’t care about Michigan.” Fixed the headline.
English

Michigan is speaking loud and clear: a new Emerson College poll shows 55% of likely primary voters oppose data centers in their own communities over skyrocketing energy costs, massive water consumption, and plummeting property values - exactly as I’ve warned for months regarding Saline, Van Buren, Chesterfield, and West Michigan.
Lansing Democrats’ rushed 2024 tax incentives unleashed these secretive Big Tech projects (Oracle, Microsoft, and others) hidden behind NDAs, with fast-tracked MPSC approvals dumping billions in grid costs onto families without real local input. These aren’t progress - they’re corporate handouts that override community control and make electric bills unaffordable. I’ve stood with residents at board meetings because Michiganders deserve open government, not backroom deals for out of state billionaires.
Michigan families deserve leaders who will investigate these contracts, expose the secrecy, protect ratepayers, defend local zoning, and put families first every time. Let’s make Michigan affordable, normal, and red in 2026! 🇺🇸
