And why the f can’t a news reporter state such a known fact, Heidi?
Go Vertical@Stayin_Alive55

@tvheidihatch Utah’s MAGA meatheads can’t stand the fact that there were less than 30 cases of questionable ballots in the past dozen years. It’s less than .001%. Trump WON twice. Every major political office is won by the GOP (except now McAdams will win). Quityerbitchin. The system works.

@tvheidihatch W in the A F does this disclaimer mean?: This version avoids implying Trump's speech directly caused or addressed the specific points in the statement unless that's established elsewhere. This isn’t reporting, it’s gaslighting.

@TonyLaneNV BFD. I was charged and swatted by a Katmai Brown on 6/30/2021. Next day we flew to Brooks Falls to walk among the tame bears.

A hiker came around a blind corner on a trail at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park Alaska and found herself face to face with Bear 909 - one of the most well known Alaskan Coastal Brown Bears in the park - along with her two cubs. Instead of panicking she stepped off the trail about 12 to 15 feet, stopped when the terrain ran out, stayed calm, used one voice, and let the bears pass. That is textbook bear encounter protocol and she executed it perfectly under pressure that would have most people completely frozen. The bears at Brooks are habituated to humans and have a high tolerance because of the salmon food source in the area but they are still wild animals that can turn defensive in a split second if they feel threatened. The number one rule - never run. Running triggers the predatory instinct and at that point the encounter changes completely. Always carry bear spray and know how to use it before you ever set foot in bear country. Could you remain that calm in that moment?

Am I the only one that sees a problem with ostensibly legal voters voting, thinking they followed what are pitched as easy instructions, expecting their votes to be counted and their vote not counting?😱 And ENMASSE. THOUSANDS of Utah voters ACTUALLY disenfranchised every election. And not the fake Democrats/Deidre Henderson kind of needing an ID or getting married. To stop fake problems our Utah mail in voting has CAUSED REAL ONES. And no one seems to care but me.🤷‍♂️ Or are people intentionally misinformed and don‘t understand what is happening?

Meanwhile in Utah, I sincerely hope Utah's LG watched President Trump's speech tonight and took it to heart. Regardless of politics, we should all be committed to securing our elections and addressing vulnerabilities wherever they exist. Election Integrity Network has an amazing resource for how to help states navigate secure elections: modelelectionlaws.org/the-handbook Utah's EIN is leading the effort to work with the Legislature to strengthen election security, restore confidence where needed, and help Utah become the national gold standard for secure, transparent, and trustworthy elections. @Utah_EIN @EIwatchdogs

Did you catch the latest @utahpolitics live stream? At time index 43:36 @SchottHappens responded to one his viewers questions about the 2024 Election Steal: 👓 "First of all, they are a bunch of cuckoos. Second ... they … don’t have any evidence… What they are claiming … that in 2024 when @phil_lyman was running for Governor ahead of the @UtahGOP primary… they started demanding to see @GovCox signature packets … They were trying to cast doubt on whether Spencer Cox legitimately made it on the ballot with enough signatures. One of the things they point to is they think there were enough signatures that would have been invalidated and that Cox didn’t reach the threshold. They ignore the fact that Cox’s campaign had submitted hundreds more signatures that the Clerk didn’t need to verify because Cox had already reached the threshold and he could of verified those if he needed them … they ignore that because it is inconvenient to this narrative that they have cooked up, that Phil Lyman should be the rightful Governor of Utah … he has a bunch of election deniers … don’t listen to Michael Clara, he makes these long videos ... that are a complete waste of your time time where he is connecting dots that are not there over and over and over again..." 🏁FACT CHECKING: Listen to the conversation between three Special Agents of the @UtahAG and @LGHendersonUtah Elections Director @RCAggie along with her AG Attorney Scott Cheney (see repost).
Michael Clara tweet media
Michael Clara@donMiguelSLC

In the fall of 2024, Special Agents of the @UtahAG realized that @GovCox did not have the needed signatures to appear on the @UtahGOP 2024 Primary ballot. They went to @LGHendersonUtah office to obtain Cox signature packets that were submitted by a signature gatherer named Rocko. State Elections Director @RCAggie makes a fool of himself trying his Jedi mind tricks on the Agents, in an effort to get them to stop their investigation. As does Assistant @UtahAG Scott Cheney.

This is beginning to sound like the Clinton Foundation 🙄 @goptodd’s donors can now give to candidates and the Sutherland Institute to directly pay Todd’s salary. Is the Sutherland Institute required to disclose their donors and the amount each one donates?
Lindsay Aerts@LindsayOnAir

UPDATE: I chatted with @gopTODD about his new job and asked whether he had any concerns about conflicts or perceived conflicts of interest. In short, he doesn't, and said that he wouldn't be the one doing the lobbying. He also told me that he offered to resign his Senate seat, and @SutherlandInst told him he didn't have to. @abc4utah #utpol

Two Mormon missionaries came to my door on Sunday. If you have never really looked at them, look. They are boys. Nineteen years old, maybe eighteen. White shirts, name tags that say Elder on chests that have barely stopped growing. They leave their families at an age when the world tells young men to go find themselves, and instead they go find strangers. Two years. Almost no contact with home. Shipped to wherever the church decides, to knock on doors that slam, to take the cursing and the mockery and the long silent streets, and then to wake up the next morning, pin the tag back on, and do it again. Say whatever you want about their doctrine. That is courage. And I will say the harder thing, the thing that offends comfortable people. It is more courage than most Christians in the West will ever show. We attend when the weekend allows. We give when it does not pinch. We try to be decent and call it discipleship. How many of us have laid two years of our one life on the altar for our church? These kids do it as a matter of course. And if someone looks at them and cannot see good intentions, I will say it plainly. That person is blind to the Spirit. They asked if they could share a lesson. I gave them the truth in the kindest order I could find. I honor what you are doing. Keep your covenants. Live your principles, because they will give you a better life. But the church is not for me. They asked why. I told them I would rather stay faith affirming and leave it there. They asked again. I stepped aside again. And then these two young men did something their trainers in Provo should be proud of. They leaned in. Please, they said. We want to hear it. So I told them. My reason was standing ten feet away in the garage, trying with all his strength to pull a cabinet over on top of himself. My son. I said, both of you will be fathers someday, God willing. I hope you have a houseful. And when that day comes, something will change in you that no lesson can teach in advance. You will stop asking only whether a thing is good. You will start asking whether it will hold. Because you are no longer choosing ground for yourself. You are choosing the ground your children will stand on, and their children after them. A man alone can live on shifting ground. He can adjust, migrate, absorb the tremors. A father cannot ask that of his children. The stakes are too high, and the years are too short. A father needs a floor that does not move.
