@Romy_Holland I can tell you from experience that there's super high variance, though. My son was premature, but after working through that he was actually a very "easy" baby, slept through the night. But some people go through hell.

My Japanese mom friends often comment that Tokyo is “so ugly” compared to Chicago. The Tokyo buildings are “all concrete” with “no art” while Chicago is stone and brick and artful.

His son graduated, filled out 105 applications, and couldn’t land a finance job.
Right now, he’s managing a Jimmy John’s while he “waits for a break.”
Then my neighbor said, “I’m going to introduce him to some of my friends so he can get an entry-level role.”
And it hit me.

Front setbacks are also such a waste of space. I simply do not understand the desire for a front yard which is unusable and just for show, instead of a larger rear space or interior courtyard which is private and intimate. Makes no sense!

Setbacks abridge owners' right to build to the front and side property lines. Setbacks degrade our streets and limit the capacity of builders to spread floor area out efficiently along the perimeter of parcels, where area is greater. Setbacks are a leading cause of terrible urban form in American cities. Compare a Chicago arterial (left) with significant front and side setbacks with a Prague arterial (right) with no front or side setbacks. @createstreets Partly I think it's about economic incentives. For cars, the customer is the end user, and they want a cool looking/beautiful car. But for buildings, the customer is usually a corporation or govt. They usually care about the bottom line, or being imposing
