New Jersey is ready and excited to host eight FIFA World Cup matches this summer – including the World Cup Final. Since I took office, my Administration has been working to prepare for the biggest sporting event our state has ever seen – and today, NJ TRANSIT released their Mobility Plan to move 40,000 fans to and from each match safely and efficiently. In the FIFA World Cup agreement that my Administration inherited, FIFA put zero dollars towards transporting World Cup fans. It also eliminated parking at MetLife Stadium, putting the burden of transporting four times more matchday riders than typical for an event at the stadium on NJ TRANSIT. This agreement will cost NJ TRANSIT at least $48 million, while FIFA is positioned to make $11 billion during the World Cup. As I have said repeatedly, FIFA should cover the cost of transporting its fans. If it won’t, we will not be subsidizing World Cup ticket holders on the backs of New Jerseyans who rely on NJ TRANSIT every day.

@Itsjoeco @Colleenallreds if NYC is partnering, they can fork over half of $48M and drive down ticket prices

I literally wouldn’t know what to do with £35K

@MischiefCS2 This is great Online CS is plagued with matchfixing and cheaters. Thank god VRS prioritizes LANs

“A motorcyclist who traveled 15 miles every day for a year had an astonishing 1 in 860 chance of dying. A person who took a 500 mile flight every day for a year would have a fatality risk of 1 in 85,000.” stevestewartwilliams.com/p/love-blindne…

@aizyesque there just needs to be 16 auto qualifiers in EU through vrs and then the next 8 teams all play a double elim tournament for that last spot. you get the benefits of the vrs system giving you the best teams over a season while also getting that rmr feeling at the end

As we reported last week, King Charles III will address a joint session April 28

Six years ago it we thought it'd take 10 million qubits to break any Bitcoin public key. Four years ago it was 2 million qubits. 16 hours ago Google published a paper showing it can be done with 500,000 qubits in 20 minutes. Race is on. Top prize? $76 billion: Satoshi wallet

If you move your business to Austin or San Antonio, you doom your employees to multi-hop flights. If you move to Dallas, you reduce the odds of this.
