Consider SF.
It has a $14B budget, with 11 supervisors and one mayor. That’s more than $1B in cash per person per year.
And what do citizens get for that money? Fentanyl, feces, and now financial crisis.

Need a word like cottagecore but instead of describing an escapist/pastoralist fantasy, it is an aesthetic of car light, walkable communities filled with vibrant street life, community events, and cozy coffee shops. An achievable aesthetic for people to aspire to.

Construction workers from MX & south used to come up during booms to work.
They don’t come now, due to stricter border enforcement, cartels having taken over the Coyote biz, & better opportunities in MX.
Think that’s why construction labor costs went so crazy this cycle.

City of Austin Staff at @austinmobility recently banned two driveway entrances per lot.
This rule change effectively eliminates many types of Primary/ADU configurations.
