In the end, the story played out in a way the industry knows all too well. Once again, with geopolitics and new wars stealing the spotlight, the biggest winners were the usual suspects: whales, institutions, and insiders with the closest access to power, liquidity, and narrative.
There were real hopes that this cycle would be different, that the rules would finally change, and that the U.S. would become genuinely crypto-friendly.
For a moment, it even looked like it might happen.
But it still ended the same way: heavy marketing, political theater, billions flowing to a connected few, and another round of disappointment for everyone else.
