Here's the exact pitch deck that helped us raise $2M in pre seed funding. Almost 3 years later, I'm making it public. Fun fact: we actually went out to raise $1M but it was this pitch that over subscribed the round and doubled it. It was also largely composed of seasoned founders and operators of some really interesting companies, as opposed to big funds. Consumer & Social: Amazon, Spotify, Meta, Robinhood, Notion DevTools: Hashicorp, Postman, Netlify, Warp, Puppet, Kong, Grafbase, Datadog, Honeycomb, Sentry, Instabug, dbt Labs, Supabase, Benchling, Socket, Stack Overflow, Contenda If you're raising your first round right now, might be worth taking a look. @Yuchenj_UW Bro serious question, What does this mean for all the python script generated with Claude? If already built and deployed and doesnt depend on any LLM then all good right? RIGHT???😬

OpenAI acquired Astral, the team behind uv, ruff, and ty. Fun fact: Claude is the #6 contributor to uv. Curious if Anthropic will ban them from using Claude since the team is joining OpenAI. Congrats to the Astral team who built incredible Python tools!

IRGC is fucked. Strikes that cost the royals billions in O&G revenue leave no path to de-escalation. The GCC won’t allow them to continue to exist in any form going forward, because such a threat - no longer merely theoretical - cannot be abided. They will be fully behind US/Israel dismantling the regime for good. Leaving them alive now means they will live with this threat in their own backyard forever. It will mean persistently high costs of insurance etc. for all of their facilities. Indeed, the IRGC know this, meaning they only struck these targets because they already know it’s over for them. This is a temper tantrum you only throw when you feel betrayed and you know you are cooked.

Codex and Claude Code are probably the most revolutionary products of this century. For now. Maybe not as significant as Alphafold, and all the PhD who slogged to get protein structure data. Data is the keyword.

@richa_lq Yes 💯🎯🎯🎯 Finally more and more starting to see Quantum Information Theory leads you in the right direction And you're correct in that it is the one of the most important Laws in Physics

This argument of everything is information has tangentially gone in so many directions, along with allegations of vague-posting. Here is what I meant: Every object in this universe is a compressed record of the forces that created it. If you look at a crater on an asteroid, there is always an impact history. The pattern you observe emerged because the object exists in a stable enough state for the observer to make such an observation. The orbits of our planets are elliptical because they have stabilized into gravitational equilibrium. Proteins fold in the orientation they do to minimize Gibbs free energy — out of ~10^{300} possible conformations. We can spend more time than the age of our universe simply trying to calculate the states that would have existed had gravity been 5% stronger or weaker. There could be a countless number of states that can exist for any given system. But that particular pattern emerged in nature because it favors the survival-of-the-stablest. And hence, if there is a pattern — whether expressed in the form of MATTER, ENERGY, or "INTELLIGENCE" — it can all be encoded as information. And used as a harness for us mere mortals to trace the laws that make this universe.

EVERYTHING IS INFORMATION: Ever since Demis' Lex interview, I haven't been able to shake this idea--information isn't just in the universe. It is the universe. More fundamental than matter or energy. And it has a wild implication most people miss: P=NP is actually a physics question. If the universe runs on information processing, then the limits of computation are the limits of reality itself-- what the universe can and cannot do.

Gemini 3.0 didn’t quite work out and most of us are still stuck with 2.5 Sometimes I don’t get it - what’s preventing Google from ditching all the side hustles and training 100 models from 100 teams in parallel Pick the model/team combination that produces a decent model! That way, they will at least stay in the AI race 😅

All I can say is this is an amazing BioAI tool! Current revenue for all peptide therapeutics combined is estimated at over USD $100 billion! Better peptides could greatly reduce the cost of these drugs and also expand the market through much greater use!

observations building an AI-native company: - every resume is AI slop. if you want the job, write something personal. - you still need to be able to sell. the best candidates want to join something meaningful. - not using AI is like refusing to ditch your Nokia for an iPhone.

OpenAI just dropped a training challenge: Train a <16MB language model in 10 minutes on 8×H100s and minimize held-out loss on a fixed FineWeb dataset. Basically NanoGPT Speedrun. They’re sponsoring $1M in compute. I can summon my autoresearch army to win it… if I have time.

@Andercot No she does not. She called it ‘nonsense’. She also points out that the paper uses quantum mechanics to get quantum mechanics. So it’s just a reformulation. “The basis of my claim” sounds like you were one of the contributing authors. 🤦🏽‍♂️ just say your X post.

Brother…I have my own lab. At 26. A sensor and machine that should be worth more than many Ferraris. We built it. Data that could actually save people. No. I don’t get FOMO when I look at any engineer at “FAANG.” I hope they enjoy the work they’re doing like I do mine.

@parmita Hey parmita do you ever feel FOMO like before deciding this is something you wanna do like compare yourself tto peers working at FAANG or something making more money than a founder how do you deal with it Or in general what made you wanna work on this
