Ukrainians who went to the Middle East to teach how to shoot down "shaheds", were horrified by the way the US military does it - The Times - They launch up to 8 Patriot missiles at a single target - Sometimes they even use an SM-6 missile ($6 M) to shoot down 1 drone - Radars often operate without proper camouflage, essentially "shining" like beacons. In Ukraine, however, radars are constantly moved and hidden. As an example, they cite a case where just three cheap drones destroyed an early detection radar AN/FPS-132 worth about $1 billion and another air defense radar (~$300 million), which had long been stationary and easily tracked by satellites. But it’s not all bad news for the US military. Pete Hegseth appears to be able to bench press 315 lbs.

If you are not from Israel or Jewish, please tell me what made you support Israel? How can there be so many haters of Israel? How can reality be so illogical?

The war in Ukraine has taught us that a skinny but smart 65 Kg dude can use a $200 drone to blow the living shit out of a macho 90 Kg "operator". The American "warrior culture" is decades behind the times and it's about to get a severe beating if the US is dumb enough to deploy troops in Iran.

I think this misunderstands the politics. In the first few hours of a war with China over Taiwan, US military personnel will be dying by the hundreds or thousands as China spams ungodly quantities of missiles at US bases. It will be a war of vengeance, not choice.
Adam Ozimek@ModeledBehavior

Watch how poorly this war goes down with voters and really ask yourself whether we would have the public support to withstand the economic shock of a war with China for the sake of the people of Taiwan. Hold aside good or bad, I really don't think we are remotely willing

@NOELreports Americans learned nothing from the war in Ukraine. Iran looked at US military tactics in Iraq in 1991 & 2003 realised that they could not compete with conventional weapons & invested in the tech for asymmetric warfare concentrating on missiles & drones not an airforce or navy

❗️Ukrainian experts in the Middle East were shocked by US air defense tactics, citing the use of up to 8 Patriot missiles per drone and $6M interceptors against $70K UAVs, while poorly concealed radars were destroyed by cheap drones, The Times reports. #Iran

I have never lived in Italian, Greek, Lebanese or Chinese society, but i have lived in Israeli society. I was going to write quite a bit but i don't need to. But i do want to say this little pearler: a surprising number of Israeli women are married to their rapists. Yes, you read that right. Israeli men have a proclivity to rape (as you may have surmised in recent times) and often rape their dates and girlfriends. The women marry them anyway, as it is pretty par for the course. It is ACCEPTED. This is Israeli society #FreePalestine

I am Japanese, but I stand with Iran, not America. The vast majority of Japanese people are on Iran's side. Prime Minister Takaichi does not represent the opinion of the Japanese people. Many Japanese people are ashamed that they made Sanae Takaichi prime minister.

@PunishedLink Canada and Britain show why we must urgently get a point system for immigration in the US. I'm ready to make all sorts of sacrifices regarding the southern border at this point. Just protect Dreamers from the worst of Republican cruelty, but if we must build the wall so be it.

Canada just announced a plan to take around 500k immigrants per year, around ~1.3% of their population. This is an absolutely absurdly high number, and I'm insanely happy rn

The Nazi leaders didn't surrender. They died or fled. The German military did. Imagine Nazi Germany existed enough time to fully replace the conservative Wehrmacht with the fanatical SS. There would never have been a surrender. What would the Allies have done then?

Republicans get *tons* of stuff wrong. Tons. But they tend to govern better because they get the basics right. Most smart policy people are Democrats, but because Democrats get so many fundamental aspects of governance wrong, they're fighting a wicked uphill battle.

Every single one of the 15 fastest-growing US major metropolitan areas is in the Sunbelt. All 15 are also in a state Trump won. Only 5 are in swing states. Dallas and Houston added an entire Wyoming's worth of people.

For a US citizen, it costs less to book a round trip flight to China, stay for a week in 5 star hotels, and pay out of pocket for an MRI, than to get an MRI in the USA. The US healthcare system isn't broken. It's working as intended. Let's break it.

It seems unlikely that an Iranian opposition movement rises spontaneously to take power. The government has eliminated many of the people who could organize, and starting an opposition party is hard. For comparison, most Americans hate both parties, but there is no opposition
