Half of my family is Lebanese Shia from the Bekaa Valley; the other half is Syrian Sunni from Damascus. I don’t know how many of them hate Israel. But I do know this: most of them despise Hezbollah, Assad, al-Julani and his government, the Houthis, and the Iranian regime. And all of them hate war. For years, we prayed—for Assad to fall, for Nasrallah to leave us alone, for Khamenei to finally die of old age. Nothing changed. Because peace does not come from wishful thinking alone. It requires action. And whether people admit it publicly or only whisper it in private, many already know: Israel did what others only hoped for. More will say it out loud when the fear is gone. My career as an administrator improved tremendously when I learned how to apologize properly. It wasn't because I suddenly found the right words, but because I finally learned how to listen. Early on, I would walk into difficult situations and hard conversations with a conclusion already formed. I told myself I was being efficient, decisive, and strong. But I was really just skipping to the most important part. Real listening requires curiosity. No interruptions, no defending, no rushing to fix the problem. Just a genuine effort to understand. What I came to realize is that most people don’t need an explanation first; they need to feel heard. And when they do, everything changes. The conversation softens, trust has a chance to rebuild, and the apology actually means something. Listening is empathy in action. It tells others their thoughts matter and that they do too. That’s what makes honest conversations possible, even if the truth is hard to hear. For me, the shift was simple, but not easy: -Walk into conversations with curiosity instead of certainty. -Ask questions. -Paraphrase. -Slow down long enough to truly understand. I started my career as an administrator thinking my job meant I had to have all the right answers. Now I know it means I start with the willingness to listen first.

Pigs have the intelligence and cognitive functions of a 3 year old human. I have a 3 year old son who needs constant play and stimulation This is horrific and why I’ve completely cut pork out of my diet
