"decisions in the future influence current behavior" is a wild hypothetical where it´s not entirely clear what the rules are. On the contrary "somebody bound people to a traint rack" is clear.

@dramalama42 Ich bin kein Egoist, und ich denke auch nicht nur an mich. Trotzdem ist rot die logische Wahl. Rot - du stirbst nicht Blau - du stirbst nur dann nicht, wenn mehr als 50% auch blau drücken. Das wird erst dann zum Problem, wenn Leute die Frage nicht begreifen.

Natürlich würde ich den roten Knopf drücken. Dachte ich. Es ist die logische Entscheidung: Alle drücken rot, alle überleben. Aber wenn so viele zu blöd sind, die Frage zu checken (und offenbar dabei wohlmeinende Menschen sind): Dann bin ich mir wieder nicht mehr so sicher.

Thus, it´s possible for a 14yo to drink beer (while parents are present) but not liquor. And a 16yo can consent to sex. activity with a 17 yo (but not a 26 or 60yo). Elegant solution imho.

With 26 and 16, both by law and development, you are able to consent at least to some things (with peers). Exploiting power gaps is still wrong ofc. But very different to pedophilia.

Can we just take a second to really take this in? How on earth has it come to this? Where a man can performatively ‘admit’ to sex with a child on an international platform but then couch it as some form of reflection or responsible accountability exercise - whilst deliberately leaning on our terrible, useless, outdated sexual offences act and age of consent? This man was 30 years old, and at the height of his fame - when he made an active choice to have sex with a child. I would use much stronger language here but he’s deliberately leaning on our consent laws, that a 16 year old child can technically consent to sex - meaning that he could technically have ‘consensual sex’ with a school age child. His admission and his disgusting performative ‘progressive’ ‘reflection’ that he is ‘exploitative’ makes my effin skin crawl. If this is not a predator in full swing, I do not know what is. This man is admitting to sex with children and no one is going to do a thing about it. Absolutely atrocious. Our laws need urgently updating to ensure no adult can ever have technically consensual sex with a child. No adult should ever want that; and no child should ever be exposed to it. End.

@Celik_Chn Warum arbeiten Sie dann nicht in der Türkei? Dort gibt es viel mehr bedürftige Menschen als in Deutschland und ein schlechteres Gesundheitssystem. Dort zählt nur Cash! Wäre doch viel ehrenhafter dort zu helfen!

In so einem unsolidarischen Gesundheitssystem, in dem Menschen am Existenzminimum keine adäquate Versorgung mehr bekämen, würde ich den Arztkittel an den Nagel hängen. Denn dann wären wir es, die benötigte Behandlungen vorenthalten, dafür bin ich nicht Arzt geworden.

Dass euer Zettel den CLOUD Act überschreibt und die USA im Zweifel nicht auf die Daten zugreifen können, weil ihr das ja mit Microsoft vereinbart habt? Datensouveränität ohne wettbewerbsfähige Lösungen europäischer Hersteller ist eine Illusion! Aber statt Geld und Ressourcen für technische Lösungen einzusetzen verbraten wir diese weiter für völlig überbordende Regulatorik und Pseudosicherheit auf Papier - welche ironischerweise gerade auch europäische Lösungen effektiv verhindert. Alles Makulatur.

Das ist definitiv eine der absurdesten Übersetzungsfehler der Geschichte.

@JamesSurowiecki Actually the U.S. president isn't "elected by American voters as a whole." He's elected by the Electoral College. We vote for the electors in out states. If you don't like that system, amend the Constitution.

The replies to this are so funny: 4000 people making the exact same bad arguments I've heard my whole life, as if they've somehow never been made before. I know the arguments for the EC - that's why I said there are no good ones. The US has only one office that's elected by American voters as a whole. The fact that we have a system that in that one race allows a minority of voters to dictate to the majority and decide who gets the office is ridiculous and stupidly anti-democratic. We're always going to have it, but that's a bad thing.

@GreubelAndre @Ricarda_Lang Halbmarathons waren immer gute Testläufe um zu sehen wie es mit der Ausdauer und Leistung aussieht. 25 km im Training sind weniger Aussagekräftig. Aber das ist sehr individuell.

Wenn ich Kommentare von Typen ohne Profilbild lese, die mir vom Sofa aus erklären, dass ein Halbmarathon eh keine Leistung ist und meine Zeit viel zu langsam war.

Building apps with AI feels the same like we had outsourcing back in 2005. Companies and individuals were outsourcing projects for pennies to freelancers from 3rd world countries. Results were mediocre and you basically had to hire a second team to fix it. 20 years later we have mostly same issue with that approach ( not all ) We have the same thing with AI now only things happen much faster.

"Alles" kommt bei der Krankenkassen-Reform-Kommission auf den Prüfstand: Leistungen werden gekürzt, Patient:innen stärker belastet. Das einzige, was nicht verändert werden soll: dass reiche Menschen effektiv einen niedrigeren GKV-Beitragssatz zahlen als alle anderen. Die Auf- oder Anhebung der Beitragsbemessungsgrenze sollte aber der allererste Reformvorschlag sein!
