@InvertTheWing @FA_PGMOL The virtual image is simply a virtual recreation. The only thing accurate in it, is the points of contact. The rest is built around it. Thats also why they put it on the sleeve, because thats the furthest point on the arm. They take longer cause PL oddly rechecks the frame

Hello, @FA_PGMOL. We, the fans of integrity of the sport, demand live footage of the “semi automated offside” being used. 1. Why did it take 5 minutes to make a decision for something “semi automated”? You never see this in UCL. 2. Why is Ruben Dias jumping in your 2nd image? 3. Why is the line for Dias being drawn from only the start of his arm?

Genuine question because it changes so often I don’t know the exact rules anymore. Theoretically could Dias score a goal with that part of the sleeve or would it be handball?

@JPierreX7 @AmosMurphy_ Well Dias wasn't in the air so this AI image is completely wrong and the lines are drawn incorrectly because of it. Measured properly have it's offside by half of foot

@existantmcfc If they had drawn the line normally (based on the actual positions when the ball was played), like in all the screenshots everyone took, Rúben hadn’t even left the ground yet — and in that case the Newcastle player would clearly be offside.

@existantmcfc The confusing thing for me is offside is when the player kicks the ball so curious to know why Dias would be jumping when the ball is played. Did he jump land then Jump again?

@StevenMcinerney it's quite easy to explain. The AI thought Dias was mid air rather than on the floor so the lines drawn were incorrect

I don't understand how this wasn't given offside. Baffled.
