Mark Hehir was a bus driver in London who chased down a man who stole a passenger's necklace.     He’s a hero. But guess what? The bus company @metroline sacked him. 
They said the thief was a “customer”. Inexplicably a tribunal upheld their decision. It’s no wonder we live in a country that increasingly feels lawless. One where decent people feel the system is stacked against them. Metroline should reinstate Mark and apologise for their disgraceful conduct.

@SW_Help this is Thames Ditton rail station just now. The 08.42 to Hampton Court has just pulled in. Why do you only have 2 card readers on the platform? From a customer perspective (ya know, the people who pay your wages) surely it would make more sense to at least double that?

It's a big win for my young constituents travelling from Esher, Hersham and Walton to Chertsey for school each morning. This line has been constantly delayed leading to students missing the connection and being late to school be up to an hour. After a lot of work and meetings with the new MD I've managed to get SWR to introduce a 'golden route' where by students whose train is delayed won't miss the vital connection at Weybridge. The 0802 services from Weybridge to Chertsey will now wait for 5 minutes for students alighting the 0757 from Esher, Hersham and Walton and similar discretions on the 0733 and 0833 departures! SWR are also introducing an additional stop at Weybridge at 1557 for a train heading to Walton and Surbiton - giving extra trains on the way home from school. I've worked hard on this over the last year having heard from parents tearing their hair out at it - SWR have listened and made a positive change. Politics can make a difference - and it should!!

@Brentford_Bob @swtrains_watch @SW_Help Rob, you appear a little confused here. Our entire rail network is run for the benefit of the TOCs, the Gvnt and various quangos who also dip in. And not the paying customer. As soon as you understand this, pretty much EVERYTHING they do starts to make sense

@SW_Help at Brockenhurst station. It’s half an hour wait to the next train to Southampton because your Lymington to Brockenhurst train ran late and it’s -1 degrees. How can you justify shutting the waiting room ? This isn’t the way to treat paying customers.

@SailAwayOnBlue @RealLTCRicBosi They are to test for Covid. The tests can’t test for dna in that way. It simply gives a positive or negate result for Covid. Many can also test for flu.
