MARCHING FOR FINLEY - Route #6
West Wales IC - D-Day Exercise!
Monday August 11th
A message from the CO @almurray (with a replacement Lid!!!)
A small and perfectly formed 3 Man Patrol led by Gregg Hayes, @andrew_lustig and me Bomber Brentnall with ‘Lady’ (she’s Hungarian but is now a double agent!) will be making our way through 16miles of the wet and windy coastline of Pembrokeshire at the Castlemartin Training ranges, starting at Freshwater West through to Barafundle Bay, including Linney Head where they practiced a D-Day Landing in large formation size and ending at The Stackpole Inn.
Covering various terrain - road, sand, gravel, grass & muddy tracks, avoiding water hazards, farm animals & the occasional stray bomb, we shall persevere...
