Your Vote, Your Life: The Truth About 2027 Dear Nigerians, As we move closer to the 2027 elections, I want to beg every Nigerian—young or old, rich or poor, student or worker—to take the next election seriously. Not because of party, tribe, religion, or social media arguments… but because elections are directly connected to your daily life and your future. Many Nigerians have been made to believe that elections don’t matter. We have heard things like: “My vote doesn’t count.” Or “They will rig it anyway.” Or “All politicians are the same.” But the truth is this: even if the system is not perfect, your participation still matters. When good people stay silent, bad people get stronger. When citizens give up, politicians become more careless. And when a country stops caring about elections, it becomes easier for leaders to treat people anyhow. Let’s be honest—government decisions affect our lives more than we like to admit. The leaders we elect determine the quality of our roads. They decide whether hospitals will have doctors, drugs, and functioning equipment. They control the education system, whether schools are safe, whether teachers are paid, and whether our children will learn in a proper environment. They influence the cost of living through policies that affect fuel prices, food prices, transportation, and even rent. They decide how secure or unsafe our communities will be through policing, intelligence, and the fight against crime and terrorism. If you have ever complained about the price of rice, bread, garri, transport, or electricity bills, then you are already talking about government. If you have ever suffered because of poor roads, insecurity, bad hospitals, unemployment, or weak currency, then you are already experiencing the result of leadership choices. This is why elections are not just political events. Elections are survival decisions. Another important truth is this: the future of Nigeria is being shaped right now. The decisions made today will affect the next 10 to 20 years. When a country keeps electing leaders who do not value education, the youth suffer. When leaders do not prioritize job creation, young people are pushed into depression, crime, desperation, or migration. When leaders do not invest in technology and industries, the country remains dependent and poor. When corruption is allowed to continue, even billions of naira cannot solve basic problems. Many Nigerians are tired. And honestly, it is understandable. People are struggling. Many families are barely surviving. Some are working hard but getting nothing in return. But this is exactly why we cannot afford to ignore 2027. Your vote is not just a vote. It is your voice. If you don’t speak with your vote, somebody else will speak for you. If you don’t choose your leaders, others will choose for you. And when wrong leaders are chosen, everybody suffers—including those who didn’t vote. Also, we need to stop seeing elections as entertainment. It is not a football match. It is not a time to insult each other online. It is not a time to fight because of politicians who don’t even know you exist. Elections should be a time of serious thinking. We must start asking real questions: What has this person done before? Do they have a clear plan? Are they honest? Do they understand the problems of ordinary Nigerians? Can they build strong institutions and not just share money? Will they protect the future of the youth? We must also understand that Nigeria will not change by prayer alone. Prayer is good, but leadership matters. Faith is important, but policies matter. Hope is powerful, but action is necessary.

THE GIFT OF F00LISH PEOPLE. When people say they can’t believe others still support and defend certain things… I want you to understand that even F00LISH people are a gift to humanity. 1. They make wisdom visible. 2. They remind you that not every voice deserves your attention. 3. They force you to choose your circle carefully. 4. They test your discipline. 5. Foolish people remove your confusion. They show you exactly what not to do. 6. They help you see the difference between right and wrong… clearly. So don’t be frustrated by foolish people… learn from them because even the foolish recognise their foolishness… but pride won’t let them admit it. Don’t expect everybody to understand you. You’re not speaking to everyone. You’re speaking to your audience. When you see people defending a government that is clearly stealing their future, just understand that it is a privilege for them to be foolish. If e easy, try to be foolish. THE GIFT OF WISE PEOPLE. 1. They expand your thinking. One conversation can shift your direction. 2. They show you what matters. Not everything deserves your time or energy. 3. They don’t just impress you, they refine you. 4. They raise your standards. Quietly… but permanently. 5. They don’t just give answers... They change how you think.

Leadership Without Compassion is Not Leadership During his visit to Benue State in June 2025, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped at the Government House but did not go to the actual scene where innocent Nigerians lost their lives. Similarly, yesterday in Jos, his engagement ended at the airport instead of at the affected communities. What happened in Plateau yesterday highlights a complete absence of leadership. True leadership requires presence, empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where their pain truly lies. For citizens who have just lost loved ones, homes, and their sense of safety, being addressed from an airport tarmac is profoundly inadequate. This approach exacerbates the sense of abandonment already felt by innocent Nigerians who have endured repeated cycles of violence without meaningful protection or justice. Plateau deserves more than distant words; it requires urgent action and a clear commitment to ending the insecurity that continues to claim innocent lives. In such moments, leadership must not only be visible but also tangible—standing with victims, listening to survivors, and acknowledging the depth of their grief. If we truly desire a better Nigeria, we must demand leadership that is present, responsive, and responsible at all times. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Leadership Tussle: Nafiu Bala Resigns As ADC Chairman By Funke Ogunlolu The 2023 Gombe governorship candidate and former national deputy chairman of the African democratic congress. Nafiu Bala has tendered his letter of resignation after declaring himself as the interim national chairman of the party. In the letter Addressed to the former national chairman of the party, Ralph Nwosu, Bala stated that his resignation was to pave way for smooth and effective coalition as well as restructuring the party. Bala assured that he is not abandoning the party and ready to serve in any capacity but the former Gombe governorship candidate was silenced on the David Mark-led interim leadership. The announcement came after the official handing over of ADC to the former Senate President and his team by the former national executive committee on Wednesday. During his declaration as the national chairman, Bala had accused Mark-led interim leadership of the ADC of hijacking the party through unconstitutional means and warned of impending legal action to challenge what he described as a “total surrender” of the party’s structure to external political actors. The former deputy national chairman emphasized that the party’s constitution clearly outlines the processes for leadership succession and that, in line with those provisions, he was now assuming the position of interim national chairman. And that’s part of the problem. The system is built in a way that demands absolute obedience, no questions asked. Once you step out of line, it’s immediate punishment, no room for independent thinking. At some point, people have to decide where they stand. Blind obedience can only go so far before it becomes complicity.

I don’t feel pity for them anymore. Every time concerned citizens try to speak up against these atrocities, it’s the same army that’s sent to silence us. They keep defending the very people oppressing them. If you decide today to lead a protest for better welfare for security personnel, who do you think the politicians will use against you? The same security personnel you’re trying to fight for. So no, I won’t pity them anymore. The day they get tired of these so-called leaders and choose to stand up for what’s right, that’s when I’ll stand with them.

I just finished watching INEC chairman interview on Arise, he said he just followed court order regarding the recognition of ADC leadership , which state everything should go status quo ante bellum, which meany going back to status before war. And he said he went back to 2nd September which was the day the war began. Now the question is who was chairman before 2nd September? David Mark was Appointed ADC chairman by the ADC NEC on 2nd July which means the status quo ante bellum chairman is David Mark. Everything points to a biased Amupitan.
