If you put your kid in this “training” at 7yo it is nothing more than a fancy daycare
At 7-14yo your kid doesn’t need training or to specialize in a sport. They need to be a kid.
Play multiple sports. Play pickup sports with their friends outside. Not every waking moment needs to be scheduled for kids.

I train kids from every sport imaginable. They all train as “athletes” If a 7-14 year old gets more athletic - they’ll get better at their sport.

Man, we used to be SPOILED with such amazing power forwards in the league.
Chris Webber was such a SPECIAL talent. He doesn’t get talked about enough, so I will do the talking 🗣️🗣️🗣️
He was ahead of his time because he could pass, he had a 3 point shot (he was shooting 40%+ from three early in his career but not taking many), and he could drive to the basket- in an era where a lot of power forwards didn’t really have a perimeter game.
He was a top 10 power forward in the league for most of his career and a top 5 power forward for a long time too. Keep in mind that was in an era where he was matching up with Garnett, Tim Duncan, Nowitzki, Rasheed Wallace, and late-career Karl Malone. He played against many of the all time great PFs and held his own🔥

Not enough people talk about Kobe’s body movement. This man was so OBSESSIVE about gaining an edge that he took tap dancing lessons during the summer to strengthen his ankles, improve foot speed, and enhance his rhythm. He also studied ballet to improve agility and trained in karate to maintain composure and discipline. He even studied the movement of sharks to better guard shifty players like Iverson.

I received an email through my website’s contact form from a teenager that said:
“I found your wallet.”
Attached was a photo of my Prada wallet with my driver’s license, debit card, and credit cards inside. She wrote, “Please call me so I can get it back to you.”
The crazy part? I didn’t even know it was lost.
She had found it in the parking lot of a strip mall where I get my nails done. When I called her, she said she’d been worried for hours because she knew that when I realized it was gone I would be “frantic.”
I then spoke to her mom, who sent me their address. I drove about 30 minutes to their house to get it.
When I got there I was so overwhelmed by her kindness that I cried. Her mom was standing on the front porch beaming and said, “I’m doing my best to teach my kids that doing the right thing matters.”
I handed her a $100 bill. She smiled huge and thanked me. I told her the only person who deserved thanks was her.
I mentioned the wallet was designer because a lot of 16-year-olds would have kept it. It was expensive. She didn’t.
A lot of people would have used the credit cards inside. She didn’t.
Instead, she spent hours worried about how I would feel when I realized it was gone.
Friends, please know that good and honest humans absolutely exist. And when you’re faced with a decision, ask yourself, “What would I hope a stranger would do if the situation were reversed?”

A month after I first met my wife, she flew from Paris to Valencia to visit me. I wasn’t at the airport to pick her up. I’d asked if that was okay and she said yes. I didn’t know it was actually a big deal to her.
2 months later I took the train from Amsterdam to Paris to visit her there for the first time and she commuted an hour by metro just to meet and welcome me at the train station.
I never needed to be told again.
Two years later we got married, moved to Nancy, and she got an internship at Baker & McKenzie Luxembourg. It was cheaper to keep our French apartment and have her commute by train. She returned every evening at 8:11pm. I was at the train station to welcome her every single day.
I kinda agree some men aren’t worth the asking. But men are not mind readers.
Find someone humble enough to hear what you want, and respond. Then show them what love looks like and watch them learn your language.
