Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries. They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.

@flamestridr @Super_Saiko77 As a Muslim in America, yes it is basically cultural. When I was in High School I knew 2 Catholics practicing Lent out of hundreds (predominantly catholic school). Along with that general sinning and stuff was normalized.

Yet in places where Christian retook Muslim lands, as Spain and parts of Eastern Europe, nativeMuslim communities disappeared. At least Islam has a legal obligation.

If you’re going to use Islam as your evidence, then use the Sunnah too. The Prophet SAW did not secretly marry and then shock his wives afterward.

Islamically, it’s not even an obligation for a husband to inform his wife when taking another wife. As a Muslim man, you can wake up tomorrow and marry another wife without your first wife’s knowledge. She can find out after the wedding.

Probably Giancarlo Esposito only knew the social media version of Islam until he went to Saudi Arabia and actually interacted with Muslims. He realized they were the complete opposite of what the world often portrays!

Many don’t know that this position is very much valid.
In Islam, a woman can stipulate in her marriage contract that her husband cannot take another wife. If he does, she has the right to divorce. The Prophet (PBUH) said: ‘The conditions most deserving to be fulfilled are those by which you make intimacy lawful.’ (Bukhari).
So if a woman sets that condition before marriage and it’s accepted, it is binding. In fact, if a man marries another woman without her consent or against her condition, she can ask for divorce.
Her feelings, her peace, and her emotional well being are valid in Islam. Allah does not force anyone to stay in a situation that hurts them.
All in all, may Allah grant all of us, spouses who honor our boundaries and brings us peace. 🤲❤️

These kinds of influential figures embracing a religion that is constantly subjected to intense propaganda in the very societies they come from make the narrative against it increasingly difficult to sustain. Their conversions inspire ordinary people to look beyond the stereotypes, do their own research, and seek the truth for themselves.
