Rippling launched its AI analyst today. I'm not just the CEO - I'm also the Rippling admin for our co, and I run payroll for our ~ 5K global employees. Here are 5 specific ways Rippling AI has changed my job, and why I believe this is the future of G&A software. 🧵 1/n

@mamoonha @sanderbuitelaar @Rippling 😂 2 most obvious places in the Bay area to have off-sites! You can do better. Rippling using a stale LLM model it looks like. Is Sonoma too far for ya? Try Stanley Ranch 👍

Been playing with @Rippling AI this week. Typed in: "I'm trying to plan an offsite for the team sometime in 2026. Suggest windows of times when the least amount of vacations are taken (based on historic data) and are spaced outside of national holidays and school holidays in the Bay Area." Got a bunch of windows, instantly, from live data. Software in the AI era is great!

The best way to find out if your defenses fail is to attack them yourself. @ArmadinSecurity is building the ultimate attacker, using AI to scale the instincts and capabilities of the world’s most elite red teamers. We @kleinerperkins are proud to partner with Kevin, @travis_lanham_ , @evan_pena2003 and the entire Armadin team.
Kleiner Perkins@kleinerperkins

The best way to know whether you’re secure is to test your systems the way an attacker would. That kind of testing has always been expensive, infrequent, and limited to a small pool of experts. AI is raising the stakes even further. @ArmadinSecurity is building a new kind of offensive security platform to help organizations find and fix real weaknesses faster. Excited to partner with Kevin Mandia, @evan_pena2003, and @travis_lanham_. On our @KPGrit podcast, Kevin said making customers happy is the only scorecard that matters. That mindset comes through clearly in what Armadin is building.

Everyone should know about @qasar! He’s building THE AI company for the physical world.
Lenny Rachitsky@lennysan

Marc Andreessen calls him "the best AI CEO nobody knows about." Elad Gil calls his company "the most successful, most quiet company in AI." Qasar Younis (@qasar) is the co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition—which brings AI to vehicles, like tractors, planes, submarines, mining rigs, cars, and more. The company is valued at over $15B, making ~$1B in ARR, with 18 of the top 20 global automakers (and the U.S. Department of Defense) as customers. And @Qasar's story is wild: Born on a farm in Pakistan. Emigrated to the U.S. at age 5. Grew up in Detroit managing engine lines at GM. Harvard MBA. Became COO of @Y Combinator (during the era that funded OpenAI, Cruise, DoorDash, and Coinbase). Then left to start Applied Intuition in 2017. As Qasar shared, "not many people run a $15B+ physical AI company with revenue and free cash flow. And by not many, I think literally zero other people." In a rare and in-depth interview, we discuss: 🔸 The counterintuitive reason he's stayed quiet and built in private 🔸 Why reading old books and cleaning your own office makes you a better founder 🔸 How to build a culture where the best idea wins, not the loudest voice 🔸 Why the best companies show traction early—and what to do if yours doesn't 🔸 How physical AI will transform farming, mining, and construction before it ever reaches your home Listen now 👇 youtu.be/_rcniEb9bLw

OpenClaw is a clear stress test for agents in the enterprise. It runs locally with broad access to files, email, calendar, and code, and every user configures it differently—skills, memory, and definitions of good all diverge.  Even on a personal machine, broad, persistent permissions are a security risk. On corporate laptops wired into CRM, finance, and source code, it’s an unmanaged risk surface. The question for enterprise leaders isn't whether your employees are already spinning up agents—they likely are. It's whether your organization will get ahead of it or wake up one day to find that your most sensitive workflows are running on infrastructure you never approved, can't audit, and can't turn off. Governance and security have to be built into the agent platform from day one.

Some news: I've joined @PaloAltoNtwks to lead communications. For the past 6+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside founders and company builders in their pursuit of making history. Being part of @kleinerperkins has been the ultimate privilege. The team lives up to its reputation, and earns it every day. It's a genuine reminder of what it looks like to steward something greater than any one person. 🖤 Along the way, I've a front-row seat to the most profound technological shift of our lifetime, and found deep fulfillment working with mission-driven leaders and teams. Joining Palo Alto Networks came down to the team, the moment we're in, and the work ahead. Every organization is figuring out how to move fast, stay secure, and build trust, and I’m grateful for the chance to help tell that story at such a critical moment with such an incredible team. 🧡

I'm joining Hummingbird as a partner. I've been fascinated by Hummingbird ever since I wrote about them in 2023. Though their returns were truly remarkable, what struck me most was how differently Firat (@ileri) and Barend saw the world. Their understanding of outlier founders had a depth, rigor, and originality I hadn't encountered anywhere else in venture. It mapped to what I felt was the reality of startup building, but with a clarity I had yet to develop. In an asset class that can feel like an echo chamber, these two were clearly playing their own game. I feel privileged to be a part of the team. Though The Generalist remains mine and I will continue building it, this does mark a new chapter - one I couldn't be more excited about.

Congratulations to @thejamescad, @dbabbs, and the entire @tryprofound team on the Ser C less than a year since the Ser A! A testament to the growth and execution. Every brand will have to deeply care about AI and Profound is on an absolute tear, already helping 10% of the Fortune 500 stay visible. This team ships and is the 🚀 to hop on!
Dylan Babbs@dbabbs

Today, @tryprofound is excited to announce our $96M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by @lightspeedvp with participation from @sequoia, @kleinerperkins, @mattevantic, @saga_ventures and @southpkcommons. When we started Profound 18 months ago, we had two fundamental beliefs about where marketing is heading: 1. Every company will care deeply about how AI talks about their brand. 2. Every marketer will use AI Agents to do their best work, faster. Those beliefs are becoming reality faster than we imagined. Now, we serve more than 10% of the Fortune 500 and are the number 1 leader on the G2 grid for AEO. To double down on that momentum, we’re taking two big swings: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: AI workers that take marketing teams from concept to execution. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: certifications and cohort-based learning for marketers who want stay at the forefront of AI marketing. Reply with 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 for free access to one of our most popular agents. No account required and no strings attached.

Profound holds two beliefs: every company will care how AI speaks about their brand, product, or service — and every marketer will use AI agents to do great work, faster. They already power 10% of the Fortune 500, including Figma, Walmart, Ramp, MongoDB, Plaid, Clay, Gamma, Charlotte Tilbury, and U.S. Bank. Congrats!

2025 was a massive year for Figma and Q4 was our best quarter yet: → accelerated Q4 revenue growth to 40% YoY → Q4 net dollar retention rate up 5% from Q3 for $10k+ customers → adjusted free cash flow margin for Q4 of 13% → ended 2025 with $1.7B cash and investments AI offers a new creative starting point. Design is where the work connects and how you push to something great. We want Figma to be the place where it all comes together. Big year ahead!

The best of the best: Josh outworks and outthinks everyone in our business and serves his founders like no one else. Congrats on all of Thrive’s success—there’s so much more to come. And congrats on having the best partners in the business in Nabil, Kareem, and Miles.
Joshua Kushner@JoshuaKushner

We are pleased to announce the close of Thrive X. Exceeding $10 billion, Thrive X comprises $1 billion designated for early-stage investments and $9 billion designated for growth-stage investments. We do not view this as a milestone, but as a commitment to the long work ahead. We view Thrive as a company. Our product is partnership - the willingness to commit deeply to a small number of founders, and to stand with them through momentum and adversity. This is the discipline we bring to our work, and the responsibility we accept when founders partner with Thrive. We do not hedge. Concentration demands loyalty to the founders and missions we back. In this moment, exposure alone is not a strategy. Judgment without commitment is not enough. Advantage will accrue to those who choose deliberately, commit deeply, and endure through difficult moments. Thrive was founded to be an enabling technology for the world we want to see. We are deeply aware that we are not the main character. The founders that we are fortunate enough to partner with are the artists. Our role is to help create the conditions where great work can come to life. We take a long view grounded in the belief that category-defining companies tend to create structural compounding advantages over long arcs. This fund reflects the continuity of our approach and the ways our work has deepened alongside the founders we support. We are grateful for the trust our Limited Partners place in us, and for the opportunity to work alongside those who are building with purpose, integrity, and courage. thrivecap.com/thrive-x
