They said he would accept an even weaker deal if Iran only gave him a photo opportunity. That argument was repeated again and again. It was always shallow. Trump’s focus on the Islamic Republic has been far more consistent than they understood. The same is true of the people around him. Anyone who followed Marco Rubio’s past remarks on the Islamic Republic should have known that this administration was not looking for symbolism. It was looking for rollback." بازداشت بهزاد بصیری و ماندانا ستوده، زوج بهایی ساکن شیراز در ادامه سیاست سرکوب و بازداشت شهروندان، ماموران اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران یک زوج بهایی ساکن شیراز به نامهای بهزاد بصیری و ماندانا ستوده را بازداشت کردند. بنا بر گزارشهای رسیده به دادبان، این زوج صبح دیروز چهارشنبه ۱۲ فروردین ۱۴۰۵ در منزل خود و بدون ارائه هرگونه حکم قضایی از سوی ماموران بازداشت شدند. ماموران علاوه بر بازداشت این زوج، تمامی لوازم الکترونیکی آنان، شامل موبایل و کامپیوتر آنها را نیز توقیف کرده و با خود بردند. بازداشت این زوج در حالی صورت گرفته که ۴ روز پیش از آن، مهسا ستوده، خواهر ماندانا ستوده نیز بازداشت شده بود. از منظر حقوقی، بازداشت این زوج بدون ارائه حکم قضایی و بدون اعلام اتهام مشخص، مصداق روشن بازداشت خودسرانه و نقض اصول بنیادین دادرسی عادلانه است. مطابق اصل ۳۲ قانون اساسی و مقررات آیین دادرسی کیفری، بازداشت افراد باید مستند به حکم قانونی، همراه با اعلام فوری اتهام و رعایت حقوق متهم باشد. عدم رعایت این الزامات، نهتنها مشروعیت بازداشت را زیر سوال میبرد، بلکه آن را در چارچوب اقدامات غیرقانونی قرار میدهد. این بازداشت در عین حال در بستر فشار سیستماتیک بر شهروندان بهایی در ایران قابل تحلیل است؛ جامعهای که سالهاست با محرومیتهای گسترده، تبعیض و سرکوب مواجه بوده است. بازداشتهای بدون دلیل، توقیف اموال و اعمال خشونت، بخشی از الگوی مستمر نقض حقوق این اقلیت مذهبی است. چنین اقداماتی نشان میدهد که هدف این اقدامات، اعمال فشار و محدودسازی یک گروه خاص به دلایل اعتقادی است. #بهزاد_بصیری #ماندانا_ستوده
Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Marco Rubio has (yes!) terminated the legal permanent resident status of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter. Her husband has also been barred from entering the United States. Soleimani Afshar was an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime while living in the United States—leading a lifestyle that, in Iran, can get a woman jailed. Her posts praised attacks on American forces, endorsed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and repeated regime slogans, including denunciations of the United States as the “Great Satan.” She also publicly supported Iran’s new Supreme Leader. At the same time, she documented a comfortable lifestyle in Los Angeles on her now-deleted Instagram account.
