Haven’t seen a single delivery agent (Zomato, Swiggy, zepto….) in first 6 hours of my stay in #Chennai.

@AutoPap Mercedes needs to poach some designers from Renault and get some of the old magic back. The ML/GLE has always been anonymous. This redesign just takes it further down the road

@scottiebateman Enjoy! My biggest disappointment is that BA has switched the LHR-BLR sector to a 25 year old 777 for the last couple of years :(

Heathrow to Delhi and already thinking about butter chicken. Long-haul flying has its moments of intensity, weather, fuel, time zones, constant decision-making … but it also comes with something we don’t talk about enough: the reset. A good layover. Delhi delivers on that. Butter chicken, or murgh makhani, was born not far from where I’ll be later, in the kitchens of Moti Mahal in Delhi in the 1950s. A dish created almost by accident, turning leftover tandoori chicken into something rich, restorative, and iconic. Comfort food, perfected. And after a long sector, that’s exactly what a layover can be. A chance to slow things down. Good food. A quiet room. Maybe a spa. A few hours where the tempo drops and the body catches up with the clock. Because even in a job that looks like constant movement, recovery matters. Good judgement, sharp thinking, and safe flying all depend on being properly rested, physically and mentally. So yes, Delhi today is about flying the aircraft well. But it’s also about switching off properly once we’re on the ground. A reminder that even pilots need to recharge. Right… let’s go earn that butter chicken. #PilotLife #A350 #DelhiBound #LongHaul #AvGeek #LayoverLife #Wellbeing #TravelWell #ButterChicken #FoodAndTravel #AirlineLife #AboveTheClouds

@TheSanjivKapoor 100%. The whole ‘tube’ experience is way superior to anything in India. The stations, trains, ease of access- all count towards the experience

This wasn't a graceful handover with a 6-month runway & a farewell press conf. It was immediate. A SEBI filing at 6pm. A 15 min board meeting. & Pieter Elbers exited @IndiGo6E. We discussed the present & the future of this situation on a special episode open.spotify.com/episode/3h0XVW…

Here are perhaps the first cabin photos of @airindia's refreshed B777-300ER - VT-ALL. It was grounded for 6 years in Nagpur and is flying again. It is the last of 30 grounded aircraft (mix of narrow and widebody aircraft) brought back to the skies since privatisation. #AvGeek

@Vinamralongani @airindia Why AI won’t introduce newer planes and Dlights out of BLR is the most baffling question. The European and ME carriers fly multiple times a day to abLR - all with high loads!

As @airindia prepares to deploy its first line-fit B787-9, VT-AWA, on the BOM–FRA route from 1.02.26, sharing my photos of India’s 1st B787-9 inducted by Vistara. VT-AWA seats 296 vs 299 on Vistara B787-9: both have 30 Business but AWA has 28 Prem (+7) and 238 Eco (-10). #AvGeek

.@lufthansa's A380 is coming to Mumbai earlier than planned! As per @aeroroutes, LH will start operating its A380 on the Munich - Mumbai route from 1.07.26 instead of 1.08.26 until 27.09.26, replacing the A350-900. LH operates the A380 daily to Delhi from Munich. #AvGeek

@DPJHodges Why can’t the French and UK governments conduct a search and destroy operation along the coast of France from where the boats are launched?

Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper’s new “migrant laundering” policy isn’t going to work. And when One In One Out fails, they will have no one else to blame > Daily Mail > dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…

@afneil Why are the UK and French governments not conducting a ground operation in the coastal areas of France from where the boats are launched? Identify and destroy the boats. Wouldn’t that actually be ‘smashing the gangs’?

Under the Anglo-French one-in-one-out migrant deal, which is more like 20 in, one out, the UK will pay not just the cost of transporting small boat migrants back to France but also pay to bring those asylum seekers deemed to have a greater chance of success across the Channel from France. All that on top of the hundreds of millions London pays Paris to beef police presence on the coast around Calais. Starmer et al really are quite the negotiators.

Publishing a special edition of The Indian AvGeek podcast on the prelim report of #AI171 crash soon. Had a terrific panel of experts, @sjlazars, @Capt_Ck and @BLRAviation. Dare I say the best of Indian aviation for matters like this?

@hjwakerley They’ve completely lost the plot. Each new car is worse than the one it replaces. Only saving grace is the G professional edition which stays true to the original design

Say hello to the brand new AMG GT XX Concept. Look I love Mercedes, I have enjoyed many drives in their new cars recently. But I’ve got to ask… …how come the 80s got the Hammer and we get this?

Have really enjoyed discovering Buenos Aires and Argentina. They seem at peace with themselves. A blend of many cities architecturally, including, incredibly, parts of Calcutta. A chilled mix of European and Latin cultures. Plus: good and clean roads, clean air, and no honking!
