100% of dev is going to be done in sandboxes in the cloud, controlled by kanban boards. Trust me, I love my local machine and gorgeous mac apps, but all of it is just a terrible form factor for running a team of agents effectively.

Siena is apparently gonna go the whole way without subbing. Are they going to have the legs to finish off the mega upset?

@paulthenshirley The most helpful thing you can do is to share that perspective and point him in the right direction. You can do that while also wishing him luck.

I was outside the door to my apartment last night when one of my neighbors came around the corner wearing a suit. I told him he looked sharp and he said thanks and that he was coming from a job interview—his first in-person interview since Covid. And, like, holy moly. But it was what came next that is the point here. I asked him what the interview was for. He said, “Customer success at a tech sales company.” I asked him if he wanted the job and he said he needed to find something. I asked him what his previous job was and he said, “Customer success at a tech sales company.” He’d gotten laid off a year ago and I could sense the desperation in his voice. I wished him luck and went into my apartment. And I do wish him luck. He seems like a good dude. But goodness gracious, my man, let’s take a look at the writing on yonder wall. These are not real jobs. I mean, they’re real in that they’re not fiction. But they’re always going to go away, especially if you expect to work from home, if no one knows it’s “you” who’s doing the working, if you can’t tell me why you do the work or why you care about the work or—and perhaps more important—what your work even is. I get it. It seems tantalizing, at first, because “customer success” probably pays pretty well. But also: damn near anyone can do it. And that means it’ll betray you, and keep betraying you. It doesn’t have to be this way, I promise.

@basedrichter @ryanhammer09 No - just KenPom and TeamRankings and other free sources and then do some calcs on the app side. So all the data is freely available.

@drgurner Agree but those same “bloviators” wouldn’t actually agree to those…they actively seek out the sycophantic interviewers so they’re not challenged.

I would love to see more interviews where people actually get pushback, and they're not just a platform for some person bloviating.

Michigan over Arizona was my preseason title game. I’m sticking with both and have the Wolverines winning the title. My bracket picks: nytimes.com/athletic/70947…

None of my friends/groupchats have had any March Madness banter yet. The tournament is starting to move towards that Kentucky Derby level where people are excited about the pageantry of the event but there aren’t any stars or storylines.

@leerob This is very cool! I also “vibe coded” a data exploration and simulation app. You can choose the model you want to use (or tune your own). bracketlogic.app

I built an app to simulate the 2026 NCAA tournament! It uses historical data, KenPom rankings, game locations, and more to determine the win probability. ...but then has an AI model review the results and prompt for the reality of March Madness, unpredictable!

@CatGodSandHive You can select or tune the model based on the metrics you value. There's a "Cinderella Protocol" model that weights the model based on an HBS paper I found.

Wanna beat Kelly from accounting in your March Madness office pool? For you, me, and everyone else who does, I vibe-coded an app (bracketlogic.app) to capture the knowledge of the best college hoops analysts into "Bloomberg Terminal for the Tourney”. No logins, no data gathering, no ads, no BS…but if you win your office pool, remember your boy.
