@AmazonHelp @AmazonUK I had already actioned a return, but as usual this necessitates me having to make a trip to have the destroyed item returned to a local supermarket. What is ‘surprising’ is the total lack of packaging when most items arrive overly packaged. The shards of glass are dangerous

@scrumilicious Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this frustrating experience you've had with the way your clock was packaged and condition it arrived in. Please connect with a member of our support team here: amzn.to/UKContactUS, we'd be glad to look into this further with you.

@LewisMoody7 Devastated to hear this, but so in awe of the way you and your family are dealing with it all.

@BBCBreakfast - a priority should be ensuring a mobile signal (for all networks) on all motorways. Having travelled a lot on them it is clear there are so many ‘black spots’ where connection is lost completely.

@liambillington Don’t forget that the place in Greater Manchester has been the ‘primary residence’ so the tax payers pick up the cost of her London ‘grace and favour’ flat

@JournalistJill A doctor of law indicating a poor grasp of genetics. Being female is biological - it always was and always will be. Most people want to be able to be afforded the ability to do what the opposite sex do: given time they work out what they really want.

He’s right. I decided about two years ago. It was a Tuesday. About 1pm. It was raining. I’d just had a cup of tea and a chocolate hob nob and thought: ‘Ah to hell with it, I’m going with ‘woman’.
Up until that point, no one knew. Do YOU remember where you were when you decided?
Dr Rachel Saunders@rejserin
@jk_rowling You were described female at birth, habituated as a girl, had issues with your gender identity, then decided being a woman was for you. You decided you were a woman.

@eilidhfife @NHS Dear Lord! My dementia ridden father is critical of people who are overweight, walk with sticks, look old (he’s 84) - he has no idea that he might be inappropriate. He’s rude to me and the family - he isn’t aware of the impact words have. CC’s let’s be realistic sticks and stones
English

Dementia…no excuse for saying what you see! Call a man “son” as a client apparently did to Upton at a home visit, the @NHS staff should “challenge” and “document” 😡This is NOT patient centred care.

Rebel Ada@DearRebelAda
Dr Upton was encouraged by NHS Confederation’s “Supporting Trans+Nonbinary Staff” 6.6.23. Rewritten, now retracted - but the culture remains. Prioritise staff feelings over truth+the wishes of patients: lean into the power imbalance; don’t inform consent; punish patients somehow.

@KayBurley @bphillipsonMP @TimesRadio The thing she seems to have overlooked is that every private school pupil who has to leave and enters the state system means that the state system needs to fund their education. If people send their children privately, then it leaves more money in the state system ‘pot’.
English

Interesting to see the Education Secretary @bphillipsonMP has told @TimesRadio that private schools have ‘cried wolf’ over VAT on fees.
Parents are *reportedly now paying on average 22.6% more than last year to educate their children privately.
I know of several aspiring, middle-class families who have taken their children out of the private sector and asked local councils to help provide a place.
Whatever your view on VAT on school fees and how that money will be used, it is disingenuous to say that the decision has not had a damaging impact on some families.
Nb: I attended a state school.

@DanielKJournos how about reporting on the increasing number of haulage firms leaving their trailers for weeks at a time in the lay-bys between Pinvin and Drakes Broughton on the A44 - one has been there since the beginning of April.
English

@BBCBreakfast The only way this should be allowed is if women can choose not have this carried out by a man if they don’t feel ok with it.
English

Male health workers should be allowed to perform breast screening examinations to help relieve staff shortages.
The call is from the Society of Radiographers. Mammography is the only health examination carried out exclusively by female staff.
