@babybeginner People really underestimate how hard it can be to socialize a truly feral cat. Often, cats people think are feral just ran off looking for 'love' and didn't find their way back home. Skittish, sure, but not at all feral. You're a better person than I for not giving up on him.

@jk_rowling @BaconRolypoly Not for going out to dinner or church, obviously, but a hoodie is very practical, especially if you're working outside. It's a jacket, a scarf and a hat all in one, and you can adjust the level of warmth on the fly. Working with machinery, a scarf can literally get you killed.

@ZubyMusic Depends on the therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is legit, but the 'talk about your feelings,' 'let's dig into that,' 'how is your trauma affecting you now' stuff is unhelpful. The here and now, and overcoming negative thoughts and behaviors is the only thing that helps.

When I was younger, I never heard about anybody going to therapy unless they were a war veteran or victim of some horrific crime. And people were saner and better regulated back then. I'm not convinced modern therapy helps most people. The opposite is possible.

It's happening ya'll. In less than a week, the SNAP program (food stamps) cannot be used to purchase candy, cookies, or soda! Anyone have a magic hack to stop snoring? My husband does noes strips & mouth tape, we have white noise but still- he wakes me up, I shove ear plugs in, can still hear him & I start thinking about the all the other things I can do with the pillow…

@tracybeanz We have 2 girls. One likes a gentle pat once or twice a day. On a good day, she might touch noses with one of the boys. The other girl has a bottomless appetite for pets and has to thoroughly check each boy when he comes in from outside to make sure he's okay. They're individuals

@visualbasic97 I entirely understand. I'm a certified lard ass, but I've spent my lifetime dieting, and wrecked my metabolism, so to prove a point, I tried--really tried--to eat 2000 calories a day, and physically couldn't. I got up to about 1800 by putting butter on everything I ate.

i’ve been trying to go to the gym and gain weight recently after being anorexic basically my entire life and i never realized how difficult it is to eat 2,000 calories a day. you genuinely just have to not stop eating all day. this is ridiculous
