Even Samsung joined the gang of high tech interference. My old phone - A galaxy 7 in 2019 - would NOT allow me to type "TheRealDonaldTrump". It would abort(0) and crash my phone. Other keyboards worked fined. Likely buried in the spell check code. After I published this in 2019, there was an update to my phone and this "bug" went away. (as a side - yes I know that isn't his x/twitter handle)

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."

@KeaveXL @Teslarati @SawyerMerritt It was a woman - and given 4 seconds AFTER she disengaged the system, that choice was hers and hers alone. The car made no mistakes- she did.

Well coming to a full stop with a Cybertruck would take around 3 seconds under ideal situation. He also just could have steered to the left. I mean I agree that mistakes have been made. The guy was probably not paying attention, driving on autopilot on highway speeds just secs before the corner. But again Autopilot is crap. Tesla’s are safe vehicles, but in this respect it should have been working better. Adjusting speed because of the upcoming corner etc. It is good for Tesla that they can hide behind “driver should pay attention” , “Driver disengaged 4 seconds before crash” for legal reasons. But in the end Tesla should strive to make cars even more saver so that situations like this can be prevented.

@Teslarati @SawyerMerritt Well, Autopilot is in such a bad state that I can totally imagine someone disengaging it 4 seconds before a corner like that. I’ve disengaged it myself plenty of times when approaching a traffic jam, because it was responding so slowly that I didn’t want it to slam on the brakes.

@getrichordietri @FoxNews at no point in that video is the car in self driving mode of any kind. It had been disengaged 5 seconds prior to crash.

Wait wait wait… so the Cybertruck was in FSD, saw the danger, and instead of driving off the bridge it corrected hard into the barrier? That’s literally the system choosing to crash into concrete rather than let them fall 30+ feet with an infant. Still suing though? Make it make sense
