Day 5 complete of #vibejam - 10x better pregame UI I felt the whole starting up process needed some love - everything still loads quickly, but there's a certain feel I want I added so many little unnecessary but beautiful little details: - logo slams with music hit - head bobbing - cloud transition - little clicky menu sounds (courtesy of SUNO sound effect generation) And it smoothly loads into the game now from the map screen (watch me get wiped out by an asteroid 5s in...) I genuinely love this stuff... At some points I forgot I was testing a browser game and thought it was an actual PC game haha Tomorrow evening I need to add final game loop (add an actual game-mode), in-game UI polish and gameplay tweaks - then finally tackle the almighty MULTIPLAYER @levelsio @s13k_ @threejs

Agents gathering resources in AGI of Mythology. I did a multiplayer playtest today and its starting to be fun. There is real emergent gameplay with different strategies. Just need to add the last two resources and its ready for submission to #vibejam so anyone can play.

One thing I see in this year's #vibejam is that a lot of people are creating their own game editor: Instead of prompting to get the perfect 3d model or map, just let ai create an editor so you have full control. For Sky Critters I did the same: Map, enemies, waves, sounds and the shop are fully customizable in an editor.

week 2 of #vibejam started with nothing just shipping every day now the game opens like this voice generated with @ElevenLabs boss created with @tripoai whole game with @threejs cinematic made with @cursor_ai composer 2 any idea how to stop these freezes from obs? the game runs fine, but obs keeps freezing.

@AndreExilien @cursor_ai @threejs @levelsio The thing I love about Composer 2 (and Gemini Flash) is its pure pace and cost effectiveness. If you keep your prompts tight and test regularly you can absolutely fly through development and even if things go a little wrong it’s quick to revert or fix. I love it!

Day 93 #BuildInPublic I'm cannot believe what you can create nowadays in a browser thanks to @threejs Fully procedurally generated island, from terrain to city. Integrated @mfranz_on's /render skill. It aces the ladders 😱 Will use it tomorrow to add all other parkour props and better textures. btw it's gonna be an extraction game (e.g. ARC Raiders) #vibejam

Day 11 of #vibejam: Casualties are mounting in Field of Command. 💥 Today I launched two patches for matchmaking (it now works 🙏) and here I'm stress-testing the body count, tactical aids (mortars, artillery, strafing runs, etc), new combat SFX and unit voice overs (yes, they are a bit repetitive right now! 😅). Try calling in some abilities yourself: play.fieldofcommand.com Oh and got a cool idea for a unit VO line? Day 10 #vibejam. Time for a break. It all went to crap yesterday 😅 A couple of players got stuck in an infinite loop whilst matchmaking and found me a nice race condition bug in my Cloudflare setup. Long story short it cost me my entire server usage so I’ve had to upgrade it 🫣 To make matters worse last night I spent my entire Claude weekly, Cursor monthly and Antigravity limits trying to identify and fix this and a few other issues 🫠 So, today it’s time for a break. Decided to run up a mountain nearby and found a lovely church with an incredible view. Deffo reminds you it’s not all that bad 🏞️⛪️ Luckily Claude and Gemini reset tomoz and I can hopefully move on 🙏 #gamedevlife #indiedev #hiking

✨ So cool, I added @PalmerLuckey @anduriltech-style see-through-wall vision (press B) to my drone sim for #vibejam So now you can find enemies hiding INSIDE buildings Along with 🌡️ Thermal Vision (press V) and 🌠 Night Vision (press N) this helps you detect enemies fast First 15 seconds very slow load cause it's doing lots of collision map generating, I'm gonna fix that and cache it somehow Also added better terrain texture and it's generating weeds/brushes now to make it look more real SO COOL!!

✨ Soldier mode lets you walk around as a soldier instead of a drone, it's getting better now too You have to defend your position against attacking drones and with the BVH collision detection, you can now hide against obstacles It's becoming a real war sim All models generated with Nano Banana + @tripoai Only thing is my 3d models don't move yet, I guess I can try do that with Mixamo?
