@Mikekantorski Crazy. What about tons of RAV4 and Prius as yellow cabs in NYC? Is Toyota needs to be concerned?

Why have I seen so many people saying they are cancelling their R2 order because they don’t want a taxi as their vehicle? That’s like saying I don’t want a computer because my work has them there… Am I crazy?

@moregainzs Its scaling 2.0 problem for Tesla — it can’t scale cybertruck, cybercab or Optimus while 3Y gain competitions everyday and everywhere. What’s more critical is that it can’t solve it by Elon sleeping in production factories. Let’s watch his next move.

$RIVN $TSLA: Tesla influencers are mad again because this time Rivian signed a deal with Uber. They did the same when Rivian signed a deal with VW. The reason they are mad is because for years Elon promised them these things. Everyone was going to license software and FSD from Tesla. Fast forward to today and Rivian is doing exactly that. I would be angry too if 15 years of promise and no deals while the underdog is executing. Enjoy the Rivian Derangement Syndrome 😆 @wholemars @aakashgupta @jchybow @kylaschwaberow @NickGibbsIAG @JoshKale @OverlyTrev @TeslaXplored @Gfilche @DavidPiccinini2 @rajuvamsi007

@DevinOlsenn Your assessment is inline with my experience. The part that worries me most is that by slapping UHF on current functionality it reveals Rivian’s lack of understanding what it takes to make a functional advanced driving assistance system. Long road ahead.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. Hoping to test it more as the system receives major updates! Hope you all enjoy the video. @itskyleconner At this rate when it reaches 100k miles it’ll have 46 kWh usable left, half of its original capacity!

@itskyleconner Plaid has about 93kwh usable when new, so 69,4 = 89% would roughly mean 82 kwh (including 5% buffer), this considering losses from drive (u normally get out only 95% of total energy) would seem reasonable indicating degradation of around 5/6%, wouldn’t it ?

@OutofSpecDetail I just left my glasses in car and when I open door to get it and guess what, it lights up like fireworks show and even connected my phone and started playing music I played on roadtrip. GIVE ME A BREAK! I just need my glasses. 🤓

@OutofSpecDetail Imagine all your radios, tv, lights will automatically turn on whenever you get into living room and bedroom, and will turn itself off after you leave room. I can’t live like this! It’ll drive me absolutely nuts. Even if they are high tech and ultra sensitive.

@CARN0N Another situation. You have to use dog mode when grandma sitting in car while you grab something in grocery. With on/off switch you just leave it on with music, climate everything. You don’t even think about it.

@CARN0N You shut it off before you leave car to prevent possible ghost draining. Just like you turn off your electric fireplace before you leave house to prevent possible fire hazard.

@CharMarlin @Eric_L_Roe @onxoffroad Good point! Why Tesla doesn’t offer Tesla cellphone so Tesla drivers can use their exclusive Tesla app to roadtrip planning or find superchargers. Or run X on their exclusive cellphone?

@Eric_L_Roe @onxoffroad Its simple logic really. The app maker already makes the App for those OS so making it work with Android Auto/Carplay is trivial. Then the maker of my car can focus on the car instead of creating apps for their own OS to mimic functionality I already have through my phone.

There is always the ‘why do Tesla’s need Apple CarPlay’. I just did a drive with 50 other EV trucks, and 48 were CyberTrucks, and most of us had @onxoffroad and none of them could run it on their display. This is one of the 150+ apps available for CarPlay not on Tesla/Rivian.

The looks, the steering wheel whatever, they can fix that with one of the 40 other cars on this platform. The platform seems incredibly good, the first true long range BEV SUV in our market (but also good charging). I love to drive it and the specs are impressive.

@RoamingNorway What’s wrong with looks. Small kidney is extraordinarily refreshing and will be a new classic look AGAIN! Don’t like driving a Beamer like everyone else or an iPhone pro max look for that matter. 🤪

Apple should force developers to allow iPad and iPhone apps in the Mac App Store and allow Mac apps in the iPad App Store (unless truly compatible). There is no reason to block iPad apps from Mac and if I want to run Mac apps on my iPad, let me. (iPad Air/Pro are basically a Mac!)
