Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleagues Shri Sudhir Gupta and Shri Harshit Mishra at the Budaun CBG Plant. They were dedicated officers whose commitment and service to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones. We stand firmly with the bereaved families in this difficult hour. We are taking up the matter suitably with the administration.

A proud milestone in India’s refining journey. HPCL has successfully commissioned the world’s first LC-Max–based Residue Upgradation Facility at its Visakh Refinery. The project also marks the commissioning of India’s first hydrogen-based residue hydrocracking unit, representing a decisive advancement in the nation’s refining capability. By converting heavy residues into high-value fuels at scale, this achievement strengthens national energy security, reduces reliance on external sourcing, and reinforces India’s path toward industrial self-reliance. A collective effort by our people and partners, this milestone reflects our shared commitment to building a resilient, future-ready energy ecosystem for the country.

Used oil from frying pans is being used to flying planes! Yet another significant milestone in meeting India’s SAF blending mandate of achieving 1% blending by 2027, 2% by 2028 and 5% by 2030. This is a positive step towards our cleaner, greener and self-reliant energy future under the dynamic and decisive leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji. Visakh Refinery of @HPCL has inaugurated the demonstration plant of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production through co-processing of Used Cooking Oil (UCO) in its Full Conversion Hydrocracker Unit leveraging the existing refinery assets. As per HPCL’s roadmap, post CORSIA certification, Visakh Refinery will produce ~10 TMT per annum of SAF from January 2027, supporting our nation's commitment to decarbonising aviation and promoting a circular, waste-to-wealth economy. We will drill and explore for more hydrocarbons in an area of more than 2,00,000 sqkm under OALP Round-10. Our target is to increase exploration acreage to 0.5 million sqkm by 2025 and 1.0 million sqkm by 2030. I am positive we will find several fields of the size of Guyana, particularly in the Andaman sea.  We are working on areas of good quality data availability for explorers, financial incentives, stable regulatory framework, derisking investments and ease of doing business to make India the next global frontier for oil & gas E&P!
