An observation from my morning drive… A curly haired boy pushed his toy mower, bubbles rising from the exhaust. Minutes later, I pulled over for the slow cars with their flashers on. Joy and grief. Sharing the same road. Neither is ever in a hurry.

I think you're correct. Maybe a little further out, timeline-wise. Gaps between the haves and the have-nots will continue to widen in many areas. Income, of course. Health and beauty is another one. Those who can afford GLP-1, peptides, etc. Been thinking of the geography gap too as people get priced out of certain places.

In January of 2020, I had an intern who was from China. He'd tell me, "Sam, COVID is 100% coming to America." "Brother, that doesn't happen here! China gets SARS, bird flu, etc, not America!!!" Then, two months later, the NBA shut down the season. Covid arrived. And the world changed. Obviously, I was a fool. Part of me thinks that we're in November of 2019, but with AI and jobs. Block laid off a ton of people. A few other companies did too. But it's really just one offs. In six months, are we going to look back and be like, "It was so obvious that this was coming looking back yet we didn't take it seriously as it was too hard to imagine." But again, I'm kind of an idiot. So who knows.
