@MwangachuBen I wouldn't say ADF is overlooked. In Doha, it's part of foreign armed groups to be neutralized. But Kinshasa spends its energy propping up its own ideological extremists, FDLR & CODECO, against M23 & CRP instead of seeking a peaceful resolution & taking Islamic jihad seriously.

Congo Peace Talks in Washington: The Elephant in the Room No one is Addressing: ADF-NALU The ongoing peace talks in Washington between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and AFC/M23 risk overlooking a critical and destabilizing threat: ADF-NALU. Originally an obscure Ugandan group in the 1990s, ADF-NALU has evolved into one of the deadliest forces in Eastern DRC, killing civilians, burning villages, and even carrying out attacks in Kampala, including the November 16, 2021 twin suicide bombings near the central police station and Parliament. While the US and its regional partners remain focused on the conflict between AFC/M23 and RDC, this narrow approach risks missing a far more entrenched and dangerous reality. Shifting alliances, often driven more by mineral interests than long- term stability, rarely occur without consequence. Eastern DRC hosts about 200 armed groups. Ignoring them, especially ADF-NALU, with links to ISIS (By 2019, ISIS recognized ADF/NALU as its Central African Province, ISCAP), risks a fragile, incomplete peace. The human cost is already clear. On April 1, 2026, approximately 70 civilians were killed in Bafwakoa, along the RN4 route to Kisangani. In February, at least 20 civilians were killed and 16 abducted. In March 2026, ISCAP(ADF/NALU) attacked a Chinese Gold Mine in Mucaca, Ituri Province, killing at least 17 people. A deal that overlooks this reality will not deliver lasting stability or secure strategic investments. Peace must address all drivers of violence, not just the most visible ones. @UnderSecE @US_SrAdvisorAF @StateDept @jumuiya @KagutaMuseveni @fatshi13 @Presidence_RDC @EmmanuelMacron @prevotmaxime @WilliamsRuto @AsstSecStateAF @_AfricanUnion

@realTrump , @StateDept , @US_SrAdvisorAF, @_AfricanUnion, @ymahmoudali, @antonioguterres, @WilliamsRuto , @PaulKagame, @edmnangagwa, @KagutaMuseveni, @SuluhuSamia, @FelixTshis13, @GeneralNeva, @MofaQatar_EN, @jumuiya, @SADC_News, @JDVance @CyrilRamaphosa, @onduhungirehe, @marcorubio, @EmmanuelMacron, @MONUSCO,@PresidenceTg, @FEGnassingbe, @FelixTshis13 , @kajakallas, @eucopresident, @volker_turk, @HuangXia16, @prevotmaxime, @kikayabinkarubi.

BREAKING🚨: What is happening to the Banyamulenge in Minembwe is deeply painful. Families are living in fear. Civilians, including children, are losing their lives. There are even reports of killings carried out with drones, and the destruction of livelihoods through the mass killing of cows. This is not just conflict, it is human suffering that should never be ignored. I feel deeply disappointed in leadership that is meant to protect its people. True leadership does not bring fear, it protects, it listens, and it builds peace for all. This crisis is not only hurting one community, it is creating wider tension in the region and raising serious concerns beyond borders. And still, innocent lives continue to be lost. The killing of a 14-year-old student is a heartbreaking reminder that these are not just numbers, these are real people, real futures, real dreams. The people of Congo deserve safety. They deserve dignity. They deserve peace. We cannot stay silent. Silence only allows pain to continue. Peace to you’ll 🇨🇩

Urgent Policy Alert: Escalation in Eastern DRC and regional Spillover Risk. Last night attack on Bujumbura barracks is not April Fool’s Day hoax. The explosion that destroyed a major military installation in Bujumbura last night must be treated as a potential act of war, not dismissed as an accident without credible, independent verification. Officials claims of an electrical fire are increasingly contradicted by consistent reports indicating a drone strike targeting one of Burundi’s most significant military bases. If confirmed, this would mark a dangerous escalation of an already volatile conflict that is rapidly expanding beyond the borders of the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the center of this crisis lies the largely overlooked war in the highlands of Minembwe. Multiple armed actors, including FARDC, the Burundian army(FDNB), Wazalendo militias, and the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda are engaged in sustained operations against the Twirwaneho Movement. Civilians, particularly from Banyamulenge communities(Tutsis), are being systematically targeted, with mounting evidences selective killings, destruction of livelihoods, and forced displacements. The increasing use of armed drones against civilian areas, documented below in places such as Minembwe, Mikenke is accelerating the path toward full-scale war. These attacks are not isolated incidents; they are part of a broader pattern that risks drawing in additional actors, including M23/AFC forces, in a bigger number, and triggering a regional confrontation. The current diplomatic approach led by the United States Department of State is failing to meet the urgency of the moment. By conflating Rwanda-related security concerns with the distinct and legitimate grievances of Tutsi communities in both North and South Kivu, U.S policy risks misdiagnosing the conflict and enabling further atrocities. Negotiations held in Doha outlined clear, actionable confidence - building measures: an immediate ceasefire, release of detainees, restoration of banking services, and reciprocal humanitarian steps involving prisoners of war and civilians detained in Kinshasa(mostly Tutsis). Over 3000 FARDC troops have been handed over, yet implementation remains one-sided. While AFC/M23 has taken visible steps, the government in Kinshasa has failed to deliver meaningful concessions. Meanwhile, credible reports suggest that elements within the government of Burundi may be pursuing a strategy aimed at altering the demographic reality of Minembwe plateau by removing Banyamulenge populations and establishing a buffer zone for future military operations. If true, this would constitute a grave violation of international law and raise the specter of ethnic cleansing. The United States must act: Immediately and decisively. An even- handed approach is no longer optional; it is essential. The U.S. government must : - Publicly and unequivocally condemn all actors responsible for targeting civilians, without exception. - Demand an immediate, verifiable ceasefire enforced through international mechanisms. - Insist on independent investigations into drone strikes and mass atrocities - Apply coordinated diplomatic pressure on Kinshasa and regional actors, including Burundi, to halt military escalation. - Ensure that the protection of vulnerable communities - Hema in Ituri, Tutsi populations is central to any peace framework. Failure to act now will not only embolden perpetrators but will accelerate the region toward a broader war with irreversible humanitarian consequences. The events in Bujumbura are not isolated. They are a warning. @Presidence_RDC @US_SrAdvisorAF @USAmbDRC @USAmbUN @UnderSecE @jumuiya @_AfricanUnion @AsstSecStateAF @EmmanuelMacron @prevotmaxime @KagutaMuseveni @PaulKagame @SuluhuSamia @WilliamsRuto @CyrilRamaphosa

The Democratic Republic of Congo smoked Jamaica in a soccer match of elimination yesterday evening in Guadalajara, Mexico. This is big. The last time DRC went to play at the world cup, was in 1974. I was a kid, we did not even had a TV set, we had to follow on a short wave radio. A whole village would sit down to listen on the short wave radio. The 120 millions of Congolese today (at least 90%) were not yet born. Allez y les Leopard!

Africa has no leverage, they fight each other and find « solutions » in the west who often times opposed them. They dont trust each other, their tarrifs between african countries are worse than what the US is imposing. An African who travels to another African country may spend months before getting a visa, despite that borders were artificially created in 1885 at the Berlin Conference. No one in the west respects them.

Presumably most African countries are having to go through a similar exercise to mitigate the macro effects of the Iran war. At what point will they blame the US for subjecting them to this and doing nothing to help lessen to economic blow to them? the-star.co.ke/news/2026-03-3…

The Mutoshi Cobalt and copper mine in Lualaba province is a first class mine. I hope the deal and funds needed goes through. With a debt of about $900 million, it is worth the money. It was a shame that Tenke Fungurume was sold in 2016, both mines could have given the US a leverage in critical minerals. The one million dollars question will be the business climate to operate in.

US firm Virtus’ acquisition of the Chemaf mines in the DRC is HUGE for America and for the people of the DRC. Under President Trump’s leadership, the US is finally back competing in the DRC’s mining sector. The U.S.-DRC Strategic Partnership Agreement is a linchpin to American economic security! wsj.com/business/in-wi…

It is past 6 PM, a violent explosion in the capital city of Bujumbura, in Burundi. Fireworks in the sky can be seen, from unknown origin. Some information coming in suggest that an ammunition depot caught fire. No one knows the origin of the fire. We will update you as we learn more.

« The Americans will help us build an army to protect our country. They will come with their money, they will invest in Congo. They will build the roads, the businesses, the works will be visible and our children will find themselves... Today March 30th, two separate Kinshasa-launched kamikaze drones killed respectively a boy of 12 years old and another of 10 years old in Minembwe. When will the @StateDept and @MONUSCO condemn these war crimes by the government of #DRC?
