Nostr needs our collective attention! I have been studying #nostr for about 3 years now. I do believe it will help with the adoption of #bitcoin at large. It basically has the same philosophy, and in some abstract ways, the technology identical to #bitcoin but for communication and messaging. What does #nostr need? 1) user experience for users 2) user experience and ease of setting up relays (equivalent to BTC nodes) 3) incentive for relay holders (equivalent to BTC miners) 4) improved infrastructure (equivalent to BTC rigs) A lot of focus on clients by amazing projects like @damusapp @makeprisms @primal_app (200, 600, 3K followers & 2 of them not even verified X accounts!!!) 5) And lastly, #nostr needs champions who can speak, promote, and educate people. We have been amazing people in the BTC realm, from OGs like @aantonop @balajis @adam3us @maxkeiser to new ones like @saylor @Swan @coryswan @saifedean @jackmallers @mattkratter and a slew of other credible sources. #nostr misses that and needs more that. The majority of gatherings and events around it are technical. Most of the focus is on #freespeech but that is partial value of #nostr. In tech and network stacks, messaging is so foundational and goes way beyond users talking together; it's about systems communicating together. #nostr does both communication and messaging admirably. I am thinking of creating something (it could be a task force, foundation, panel, etc) that accelerates the adoption of #nostr, and partially to accelerate the adoption of #bitcon. If you haven't looked into #nostr, study it the same way most of us studied #bitcoin. It could be seen as a natural extension of #bitcoin. I don't have a plan yet, but if you are interested, DM me. We'll figure something out. 🙏

It is unfortunate that the UN Security Council has once again failed to demonstrate effectiveness and act decisively in the face of such a global threat as the Iranian regime's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. No one should be allowed to block such globally significant sea lanes or undermine the security of dozens of nations through terrorist attacks against the freedom of navigation. We faced a similar challenge in the Black Sea when the Russians attempted to block our ports and civilian shipping—Russia was trying to suffocate our economy. And we found a way to solve that problem through decisive action, not inaction. Now, we see a similar problem on a global scale. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open to all vessels that sustain vital economy lifelines and maintain normal international trade. Countries in the region have spoken clearly on this, and we support the aspirations of the people of the Middle East and the Gulf for peace. Peace and security in this region directly impact stability, market predictability, and the cost of living in every single country. Such problems and this war must not be prolonged. The world needs a functional UNSC that acts more decisively to resolve acute security challenges of global magnitude.

I am waiting to hear European condemnations of this genocidal statement. I expect to be disappointed... Perhaps the German Chancellor will once again say that the time for discussing international law is not now...

This life is fucking amazing. I'm so grateful to be alive, with all of you on this miracle of a planet. Oh and I'm sorry if I fuck things up sometimes. I'm a flawed human. But I promise to do whatever I can to try to add some more understanding and love to this world. After the world leader convos I get attacked intensely by all sides, and many disparate online communities. It has led to some really low points for me mentally. But I don't matter. I'm listening. I'll do better. And I'll try to find the strength to do more of them, always with rigor and backbone, seeking to truly understand. And despite accusations, I do extremely high amounts of research, sometimes 100+ hours for a conversation. Ask many of my previous guests. But when I come to the table, I put all that aside, and make it all about the other person. I don't ever try to sound smart. I know the vastness of my ignorance. But I'm trying. Sometimes I do fuck up and sound like a douche, or do something incredibly cringe. And I hate myself right after. But I'd rather fail and embarrass myself a million times, than not do what my heart says is right. And besides world leaders, historians, CEOs, engineers, etc, this year I want to travel the world and talk to a lot more everyday people on and off the mic. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Anyway this is written while on I'm on a 10 mile run, probably procrastinating, since to type I have to walk and not run 🤣 But I did just get stopped by a super smart and kind girl who works at a humanoid robotics company here. And she asked if she can give me a hug to thank me for being me. Sometimes the universe sends you a message that even a dumb dude like me can almost hear. I really needed that today. Thank you for the hug and the kindness 🙏 I'm just hoping she was real and I didn't just imagine that 🤣 Then again if I went full crazy might as well enjoy it! Back to the run. I love you all! ❤️

@VanJones68 Was in Iran for more than a week, used a VPN like most Iranians, worked fine and they also have their own internal Internet infrastructure. Trust the- "dead Gaza baby" guy, to push this drivel at a time where U.S and Israeli bombing has killed over 2500 Iranians. Shame on you.

When you woke up this morning, your internet worked. You scrolled, you searched, you shared. But 90 million Iranians woke up — again — to total darkness. Their government has now imposed the longest nationwide internet blackout ever recorded in any country. Almost 40 consecutive days. That should alarm every one of us. Iran’s information blackout is a weapon against its own people. When governments can flip a switch and immediately disappear 90 million people from the internet, the rest of us lose our eyes and ears too.

Disgraceful! The US/Israel just bombed Sharif University in Tehran. This is not only Iran's best university, but also a top 100 global university in the field of Civil Engineering. It has also been a center of student opposition to the Iranian gov And Trump just bombed it...

Oracle executives are getting DEATH THREATS after that 6 AM email massacre and Larry Ellison just hired Blackwater-level private security 30,000 workers butchered via automated email while Oracle posts $6.13 BILLION in quarterly profits I'm hearing Oracle leadership is now working from "undisclosed locations" because former employees are showing up at headquarters with printed copies of their termination emails Sources saying the Redwood City campus looks like a military compound. Armed guards checking IDs. Parking garage access restricted. Executive floor completely locked down. Oracle spent more on executive protection this quarter than they'll pay in severance to 30,000 families The same company that automates human termination emails can't automate executive safety Larry Ellison's yacht has three security boats following it. Safra Catz hasn't been photographed in public since the bloodbath. Meanwhile former Oracle workers are posting TikToks outside Ellison's $300 million Malibu compound One terminated engineer drove 800 miles from Austin just to stand at the gate with a sign reading "I BUILT YOUR CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE FOR 12 YEARS" Oracle's AI algorithms can eliminate 30,000 jobs in milliseconds but can't predict when desperate people stop playing by corporate rules If you're still at Oracle, your executives are literally hiding from you behind armed security while counting the money they made from destroying your career The revolution isn't coming through the front door anymore. It's coming through the fucking walls.
