지금 중동에서 터지는 미사일이
그저 먼 나라의 불꽃놀이처럼 보이는가?
착각하지 마라.
개전 14일째를 맞은 이란 전쟁의 참상은
단순한 비극을 넘어, 시진핑이 우리 머리 위로 던지는
가장 잔인한 ‘예고편’이다.
중국은 지금 이란을 보며 침을 삼키고 있다.
중동 내 미군 기지 11곳이 박살 나는 걸 보며,
대만 해협에서 전쟁이 터졌을 때 평택 험프리스나
오산 기지를 어떻게 요리할지
시뮬레이션을 끝냈다는 소리다.
최근 중국관광객을 가장한 간첩들이 무수히 많이
찍어서 보낸 사진들은 결코 장난으로 한것이 아닐것이다.
그런데 여기서 정말 기가 막힌 ‘우연’ 하나를 짚어봐야 한다.
이재명 정부와 민주당이 그토록
‘전자파 참외’ 운운하며 반대했던
성주의 사드(THAAD) 포대가 이란 전쟁 지원을
위해 전격 이동했다는 사실이다.
이재명 대통령과 김민석 의원 등 여권 지도부가
일관되게 보여온 친중·반미 기조의 결과가
참으로 처참하다.
우리를 지켜주던 ‘방패’인 사드가 빠지자마자,
기다렸다는 듯 시진핑이 한국 공격 가능성을
언급하기 시작했다.
이것이 과연 우연의 일치일까?
아니면 방패를 제 발로 걷어찬 집 주인을 비웃으며
칼을 들이미는 강도의 본성일까?
“너희가 원하던 평화가 이런 것이었냐”고 묻는
중공의 비웃음이 미사일 궤적마다 서려 있다.
참 ‘차이나’는 클라스다.
매너가 ‘차이나’도 너무 난다.
시진핑은 지금 미사일로 이재명 피고인 대통령과
여권을 향해 사실상의 ‘간접 겁박’을 시전 중이다.
“니들이 아무리 실용 외교를 외치고 내 비위를 맞춰도,
미군이라는 가시가 빠진 순간
너희의 안위는 내 손바닥 안이다”라는
노골적인 조폭식 서신이다.
여권이 공들여 온 ‘전략적 모호성’이 실상은
중공의 자비에 목숨을 구걸하는
‘전략적 굴종’이었음이 사드 이탈과
동시에 적나라하게 드러난 셈이다.
물론 전쟁은 피해야 한다.
하지만 고개 숙인 채 얻는 평화는
유통기한이 지나면 썩기 마련이다.
우리가 가야 할 길은
‘먹기엔 너무 따가운 고슴도치’가 되는 것이지,
방패를 스스로 내다 버리는 만용이 아니다.
한미일 동맹의 톱니바퀴를 더 정교하게 맞물리고,
반도체와 방산이라는 대체 불가능한
‘갑옷’을 다시 입어야 한다.
평화는 비겁한 회피가 아니라 강력한 억제력에서
나옴을 대통령과 여당이 똑똑히 증명해야 할 때다.
정치가 밥 먹여주냐고?
아니, 정치는 우리가 차린 밥상을
중공의 군화발이 짓밟지 못하게 막는
최후의 방어선이다.
지금 이 순간에도 누군가는 우리의 침묵과
분열을 틈타 칼끝을 다듬고 있다.
분노해야 할 때 분노하지 않고,
겁박에 눌려 본질을 외면한다면
다음 뉴스의 주인공은 중동이 아니라
바로 우리 자신이 될지도 모른다.
평화는 구걸하는 자의 것이 아니라,
지킬 실력이 있는 자의 전유물이다.

아들은 어릴때 부터 모든게 다른 아이와
달랐다. 4세에 숫자와 알파벳.파닉스를 집에서 모두 마스터했고.
항상 책을. 끼고 살았다. 밥을 먹으면서도 어딜가나 책을 읽었다.
이런 아이에게 특별한 교육을 해줘야 할것같아서 사립초등학교를 보냈다.
초등학교라서 등수나 중간고사같은 시험은 없었지만. 학기중간중간 보는 모든 시험에서 백점을 맞고 항상 반에서 최고 성적을 거뒀다.
어느순간
"얘는 좀 다른것 같은데?" 라는 이야기를 들었고. 지능검사를 받아보라는 선생님의 이야기에 웩슬러 검사를 받아 봤다.
상위0.01%안에드는 지능이고 이정도 범위는 지능검사의 의미가 없다고 하셨다.
대략 155이고 145 이상은 사실상 의미없는 수치라하셨다. 상담교수님도 흔히 보기 힘든 고도영재라고.
6학년이 된 지금
그 아이는 고등수학을 혼자 풀고
외국인과 프리토킹을 하며
수능영어영역에서 1~2문제 틀리는 아이가 되었다.
솔직히 나도 어릴때 공부 좀 한다는 소릴 듣고 컸는데.. 비교. 안될만큼 똑똑한 아들이 태어났다.
무엇이 하고싶은지 물어봤는데.
피는 무섭다고 의사보다는 로봇이나 과학쪽 전문가가 되고 싶다고 한다.
과학고나 영재고에 가고 싶다고 한다.
그래서 와이프와 이야기했다.
더열심히 투자하고 돈 모아야겠다고
한국보다는 미국 같은 더 큰 나라에서
더 많은 것들은 배우고 클 수있도록 뒷받침 해주자고.
어디가서 자랑하는 성격아닌데

You have to take ownership of mistakes. I got creamed on $GSY.TO
Currently it's the largest loss I've had as an investor, and I've learned a ton of valuable lessons. It's definitely a setback, though.
The one thing that controlled this from being a truly terrible loss was me trimming in the 180s on the way up, and not adding aggressively on the way back down.
But that doesn't make up for it. It's time to learn, refocus, and move on.

@Investmentideen I think it’s simpler than what most us think. $SABR meets the internal hurdle rate $CSU has on that segment of business. And that’s it

I don't know what $CSU.TO wants to achieve here.
$SABR is largely a GDS business with an airline ERP. GDS, as far as I understand, has no pricing power. The airline ERP is on the other spectrum.
––> Hence, price increases are limited to the airline divison only.
CSU has received the tech committee seat. It's not the strongest seat. With 12% ownership and one seat their impact is limited.
CSU will gain access to financial data of SABR and be able to influence strategic decision regarding tech. This could include analyzing initiatives on the development side and propose cost cutting.
SABR needs to understand that they NEED a strong operator like CSU on their side – if they don't know it already.
The timing is quite interesting.
1. In Q4 SABR announced a "inflation offset program" which is a restructuring program.
2. Last year, SABR has sold their hotel software division for $1.1bn which it used to reduce debt.
––> 1 & 2 align quite well with Constellation Software's general approach of restructuring businesses. This made me think that there's an alignment and openness for CSU best practices.
The tone in the "shareholder rights plan" was quite promising:
"enable continued collaboration between the two parties with the goal of driving long-term growth and value creation"
Overall, everything here is speculative and it's hard to read into where this one will be going with actual limited influence by CSI.
