@nathanbarry Six years, $50M ARR, and the transformation that matters most: You learned to take your seat as a leader. Clear, caring, direct, and connected to your why -you. From performing to being. Proud of you, my friend. Thanks for the trust!

Just had a quick impromptu coaching call with my coach @danputt The amount of clarity he gave me in just 10 minutes is staggering He’s truly a magician at what he does If you’re a CEO operating without a coach, you’re a pilot without dials

@khemaridh Love this. My mom was a straight A student, always followed the rules and worked hard to never rock the boat. In her final weeks she said to me “don’t waste your time worrying about being good.” I will never forget the certainty in her voice. Wise words.

I loved having @noahkagan on the Reboot podcast where we go way back to our first interactions, Noah's growth as a leader and how he shows up as CEO today. It's a great conversation. It's been awesome to watch Noah & team grow at @AppSumo. Congrats on the book @noahkagan!
RebootHQ@RebootHQ

🎙️ LIVE NOW @danputt sits down with @noahkagan, CEO of @appsumo and author of the Million Dollar Weekend. The pair discuss the benefits of seeking honest feedback, empowering underdogs in business, and learning to like (and trust) yourself. Listen now: buff.ly/49aMErJ

@FoundersPodcast This is a fantastic list. This is one I have seen to be true time and time again (though you don’t have to be older to get there): “8. Older entrepreneurs are superior because they know themselves better and build a business suited to their authentic self. ”

15 lessons I’ve learned (and relearned) in the last year: 1. You should believe your opinion is greater than the opinions of every other person around you. 2. You can find an edge by thinking about your industry more than anyone else. 3. You should accustom yourself to a large work load. 4. The world runs on relationships. 5. Make yourself easy to interface with. Steve Jobs did this in just 3 words: Insanely great products 6. Mute the world and then build your own. 7. There are two types of people: those that don’t understand the size of the internet and those that *know* they don’t understand the size of the internet. (From my friend @george__mack ) 8. Older entrepreneurs are superior because they know themselves better and build a business suited to their authentic self. (I can’t prove this but I believe it) 9. There are few geniuses. 10.Intelligence can be distilled down to two things: (1) Are you able to figure out what you *truly* want in life? (2) Were you smart enough to get it? (From @naval ) 11. The root cause of all your problems is that you haven’t found your life’s work yet. Once you do most questions disappear. 12.The Mind of Napoleon helped me realize I was engaged in self sabotage. (You have to listen to the latest episode of Invest Like The Best with @patrick_oshag to understand this one) 13.Ambitious people need a supportive spouse or no spouse at all. 14.Learning from history is a form of leverage. Spending with both Sam Zell and Charlie Munger made me realize that they knew more about business history than I do — and it’s my job! 15.Be indifferent to being misunderstood. These lessons were prompted by my latest conversation with @patrick_oshag on Invest Like The Best #343 We discussed what I’ve learned in the last year from (1) reading another 60 biographies and (2) Founders growing by 50x I hope you listen to and get value from our conversation!

@Camp4 An absolutely incredible experience that was exquisitely planned by @Camp4 with an amazing group of folks. If you have a chance to go to one of his events, do it (even if the type 2 fun option is a bit scary). And a special shoutout to my climbing partner @bradford_hardin

🤫The secret is out. This week I hosted 17 friends in Boulder for a different type of gathering. It was the first step toward a larger vision—perfectly aligned with my personal mission. Here’s how it went down (with lots of pics)🧵

Hiring a VA with perfect written and spoken English— What’s the best service? I have a VIP friend who needs a remote EA to manage his calendar. No patience to train up someone and willing to pay up to $5k/mo Are there boutique agencies here? With candidates ready and vetted?

Regrets are incredibly powerful. When regretting the past, they clarify what we value, and instruct us on how to do better. Anticipating what we might regret helps us lift our gaze out of the short-term to think and live long-term acting from a place of what really matters most.

Having an inner critic is painful. It’s always asking if “I’m worthy”. Worthy of all the good things in my life. I have this notion that to be worthy, I need to be perfect. An impossible quest. I remind myself that worthiness is a result of who we are rather than what we do.

So I was shocked when I ran into her at the grocery store and she was cracking jokes with the cashier… Getting over the need to be liked is incredibly difficult, but also has incredible rewards.

I had a neighbor that hated me and it really, really bothered me. I’m the kind of person that wants (maybe needs?) people to like me. But she’d just look at me with disgust for no reason.
