@DeanPat57613010 I didn’t like them planting corn. Most of the time they were fine. If it was a tad too wet those rows would not come up as good as the rest of the planter. Also not ideal for going to spike in wet holes.

Looking at tractors. What is with the move to big Singles ? This magazine ad only has one dualled tractor. The rest are Singles. Can Singles run a grain cart without tramping a row ? Can they plant corn without running in front of a row or does it matter ? Just curious bc they seem to be very popular??

@gthomp97 @Case_IH Whoever thought adding the jump start button to start the planter from a dead stop needs to be fired right now. We have combines that can adjust on the fly but my planter doesn’t know when I start moving forward without holding a button. Wtf

Why does the @Case_IH Pro1200 monitor suck so bad? How can you screw up something so bad? Why is there no skip function? I love having 25k different lines stored in my display for quick choosing. Fucking morons. I’d love to rip this thing out and throw it on the interstate.

@lsmith1456d @wapp56 @Case_IH Out 310 has something wrong with cab suspension. Sounds like the cab is going to fall off every time you turn around with the planter.

@wapp56 @Case_IH Had a 310 magnum on a 3 year 900 hour lease. Was only able to use it 1/3 years as a planting tractor to the full extent. Constant pro 1200 issues, even took the full front end out of it before we turned it back in. Case was zero help resolving it.

2 out of 4 AFS Connect Magnums are down. 1 all week. A 3rd multiple times for hours. We are now hauling 1 in that needs split for the second time since buying new in 2022. Taking parts from it to try to get other running. This has been our @Case_IH story since day one.

@Bkitch1Bodie Real dry in parts of nw Iowa. Everything is in but even some beans planted deep are sitting in dry dirt. I do not remember having a spring this dry.

Our corn planter has had no til coulters on it its entire life. I’d like to have row cleaners but not yet. I took the no til coulters off and so far on the 184ac of corn on corn I have in the ground I have way less hair pinned residue in seed trench then when I had the coulters

@corn_porkNbeans Sac Co Iowa, we have corn 100% planted beans 50%. We are missing rain when there is a 100% chance and getting little shots of rain when it’s 15% chance.

When the calendar turns tomorrow the mental block of “it’s still early, it’s still April” will be gone. No plant today, maybe not tomorrow. 13% planted here. Only beans in so far. The beans that did go in were not great conditions. We are really only a small pocket in central Iowa, most have seemed to have good progress 45-60 minutes in any direction. Definitely haven’t missed out on much for GDU’s #plant26

@BenRiensche You cant just buy the turbo actuator now, have to buy the whole turbo. Dealing with that now on a turbo with less than 200 hours on a spreader. We put it on mid season last year. 10 days out of warranty. See what happens.

Just noticing….. one tractor drove away from the White House. Another had to be trucked away. 😉 I have some like the one being trucked away, if it’s anything like mine, it likely: - threw a code - derated - needs a fan drive, turbo actuator or water pump - had a PIP?

Today, our #CaseIH brand represented America’s farming community at the highest level — as the Heartland Magnum tractor took its place on the White House South Lawn. Moments like this reflect what drives us at CNH: standing with farmers, celebrating their essential work, and ensuring they have the innovative, sustainable solutions they need for the future. #AmericanAgriculture #FarmersFirst #CNH #ThankAFarmer #Agriculture #Tractors

What a perfect way to leave the White House!🇺🇸🚜🤠 After an unforgettable Great American Agriculture Celebration with the largest number of farmers ever gathered on the South Lawn, I hopped on a massive red, white, and blue @Case_IH tractor built in Racine, Wisconsin by great American patriots — and drove it through the streets of DC from the White House to the @USDA! This patriotic beauty is the perfect tribute to @Freedom250 to honoring 250 years of American agriculture. God bless our incredible farmers, ranchers, and everyone who keeps our fields growing and tables full. 🙏

@farminmostly On shit ground or not at all - would rather see the acres go back to grass and invest in fences and water to get them back on the land and people and butcher shops back in our communities

There’s soils south of Grand Forks on both sides of the ND/MN that literally have some of the best soils on Earth (and it’s close to home) where you couldn’t fuck up growing a crop there with good weather if you tried and it’s used continuously for corn, soybeans, and sugar beets - two of those crops aren’t used for human food and the one that is destroys the soils so badly that it’s like potatoes and you can only farm those soils that hard for so long before they’re basically destroyed. Imagine owning land like that and not even growing real food on it. It’s insane when you think about it. It’s truly insane.
Jason Mauck@jasonmauck1

There is a portion of farmers that hate these type of posts. You shouldn’t be crying about it. You should look at it as the biggest opportunity of your life. I travel a lot… and I try to get off the beaten path and get “lost” in the country. IA is no different than IL or IN I was in IA at @CalebAkin2 and saw a lemon and orange tree growing on a -25 morning The technology, soil, people are here… but the system doesn’t allow it because the distribution of regional food has been blown up. 30 miles South of downtown Chicago South of 10 million people Flat black… 🌽 and 🫘 A complete waste of opportunity

@WallStreetApes We should seed it all back down to grass and then see how fast people wish that more corn was grown to feed the livestock so they can continue life as they know it.

Iowa has some of the best farmland in the country but “we import 95% of our food” in the state “0.03% of our acres out of 24 million acres, it's roughly 9,000 acres in Iowa, is used to produce any produce food that will end up on your plate in its original form” “So it's primarily, it's all chemicals — they're producing ethanol, they're producing feed that will then be shipped out of state for animals and shipped out of our country for animals. Iowa has the best farmland in the world, I would say, and we import 95% of our food.” So there's a big movement of people that want to see, you know, homesteading and smaller farms crop up. But when you have out-of-state investors that are coming in and buying up land and jacking up the price of land, there's not one young person that can afford to get on land.”

Had a conversation with my fuel supplier today about e85 to the farm. No previous questions on e85 from anyone else. He said frankly, I sell a lot more regular unleaded to the farm than e10. How can you as a corn producer not support what you grow and deliver to an ethanol plant?
