@Tier1athlete @TheCrocShow @nhssca_us I can't see what's involved with getting a HSSCC, or how to get it, or what materials/circulum I should have before signed up for the certification. Its behind a yearly membership paywall on thier site. Seems scammy TBQH

@JoshStraughan1 If you are not in control of the weightlifting program, and the weights coach ain't so hot? I had athlete's maxing 1RM squat for their weights-class grade 5 hours before a track meet. This wasn't a 90%-single-potentiation-thing. It was a keep adding weight until stapled.

@CoachReamon I think a population map shows the same thing. You just wind up competing against more people in your geographic area.

A lot of recruits don’t realize this… The majority of D1 schools are from the Midwest to the East Coast. Geography matters. Schools recruit regionally: more access, more exposure, more opportunities. It’s not just talent. It’s location + strategy.

Bishop Gorman is in a class by itself in NV. If you've been to the campus, you'd know why. they rival most D-2 schools. they recruit on the national level & their back-ups are D-1 prospects. the closet thing AZ. has is Ben Franklin in 3A. In a class by themselves at that level. small rural teams can't compete with that powerhouse.

Public vs Private: Are we heading down this road?! This article is very interesting and it shows how teams can come together to force changes. I think the small school divisions is at a Boiling Point in this area with the Evil Empire: on3.com/high-school/ne…

@ZacGoodman_ You don't know becuz you aren't willing to do it. IOW: bias. OR If you are saying your athletes continually get faster ad infinitum and never start to plateau (to an extent) ... well, I don't believe you or you don't train the athletes for an appreciable length of time.

@MikeBasic2 I don’t find that to be true for our athletes. But perhaps it’s in the way we run our system. We measure everything.

@ZacGoodman_ Too much 'timing' can lead to a desensitization to the allure or incentive of timing. After the early noobie-sprint-gains are gone, future improvements are very sawtooth pattern in nature, and the 'net-gains' occur at a watching-grass-grow rate (or tectonic plate pace).

There’s another gear athletes will go to when they are being timed. Most athletes have been taught that they only run when conditioning so they always save some in the tank. Timing breaks the habit of underperforming

@avidseries A lot of the very real problems don't show up with official crime statistics. Either bad stuff not captured in the stats or .... (like the video, technically not a crime...yet) x.com/C_3C_3/status/…

“I'ma kiII whites. I got out 2 days ago.” Democrats keep letting criminals out of jail to hunt white people. Remember the Media tried hiding… “I got that white girl, I got that white girl.” - Decarlos Brown after murdering Iryna Zarutska.

Among the 50 largest cities in US: NYC ranks near the bottom for murder rate and property crime rate, and in the middle for overall violent crime rate. But hyperpartisans don't care about statistical reality. They prefer to trust their feels and biases.

NYC is turning into a crime ridden hellhole.

@CoachRGarner Was just talking about this! Have a guy who runs 4.41 40 yd fly, but can’t break 11 in the 100! Our kid that runs 4.39 40 yd fly can run 10.7 in the 100. Different between the two? The ability to hold top speed for extended period of time

@stevemagness They are with their friends(club team) and family, likely taking them gets to go on a vacation, and they can afford to do it. Outside of that, from a sports development perspective, it is totally unnecessary and a façade of sports-elitism.

Can someone explain why some 10 year old needs to travel hundreds of miles for competition that they almost certainly could have found locally? Travel leagues for youth sports should be banned.

@pntrack Power lifting/Oly.Weightlifting and the short sprints have quite a few commonalities w/ training. They depend heavily on ATP/training alactic systems. Longer rest between efforts. Quality movement over quantity (volume/high reps/longer distance). High intensity over volume

In our upcoming podcast, Zac and I discussed the ideas of Louie Simmons. I have always wondered why people have told me that Louie and I would have been friends. 🤔 What? A weight room guy and a sprint coach? Sounds like the start of a joke! Now I understand. ⤵️
Zac Goodman@ZacGoodman_

Louie Simmons on Conditioning for Football Players… “Football is a knock you out, back up, knock you out, back up sport. When you run gassers, you turn explosive athletes into endurance athletes.” You must train the correct energy systems for success in Sport!🙌🏻

@TheErinBrown @Dr_Kellz_ @AIU_CEO so wait, was it Gatorade or the coach? Or does coach have in with Gatorade, and has a trillion dollar globo-corporation formulate SARMs-Gummies for his athletes, for a sport (track) that makes almost no money on its own.

@Dr_Kellz_ @AIU_CEO @TheErinBrown 1st, Issam implicated Gatorade directly. Sayin' they put SARMS in his gummies🤦‍♂️. Gave AIU some containers, that were already open, and had SARMS sprinkled around ONLY on the outside of the gummies. But NOW its the coach? Gatorade should sue Issam really for defamation.

@MikeBasic2 @AIU_CEO @TheErinBrown I don’t think he knew his coach did it. But AIU really needs to revisit his suspension knowing what they now know! He blamed the gummies because he knew he didn’t willingly take anything! I hope they all sue the coach/school!

All these anti doping bans wasn’t that huge back when I was in high school. Like high schoolers were not doping back then to get faster. It was natural talent and working hard at practice.

@Ijump_Ags 1080 no different than any other resisted sprint (hills, sleds, etc), Might be safer due to its smoothness and predictability Overspeed? many old heads were using bungies and 2:1 pulley systems. Where was all the worry back then? Worry about superspikes & year-round training
