Our systems are processing all forms now. If you are eligible and haven't received it it will likely land very soon. One important note is that you are still able to fully calculate your PnL independent of the 1099-DA. In fact the DA only reports gross proceeds of sales. The ability to do this has been available since January 1st using direct exports of your account with your accountant or yourself or using a crypto tax software company such as Koinly.

I’m doing my taxes right now with @CoinTracker, and paying $1,181 for the software alone feels kind of insane. And this wasn’t from doing anything crazy. This was from using @base the way people keep saying we should. - Providing liquidity. - Trading. - Minting. - Coining content. - Using the @baseapp. - Claiming rewards. - Just normal onchain activity. We keep saying we want everything onchain. Content onchain. Gaming onchain. Rewards onchain. Payments onchain. Agents making micro transactions onchain. But then tax season hits and the message becomes: be careful how much you use it, because the reporting bill might punish you for it. That makes no sense. If the future of crypto is higher-frequency, lower-value activity across apps, creators, games, and agents, then tax tooling cannot keep scaling like this and expect normal people to stay. Cheap transactions do not mean much if the back end hits users with a four-figure bill just to make sense of their activity. That is not how you bring the world onchain.

1099-DA forms were supposed to be disbursed on March 13, 2026, but Kraken has continued to come up with excuses for not providing these tax forms to their users. All other exchanges were able to produce these documents weeks ago. I was beginning to like @krakenfx @krakenpro @krakensupport but my faith in them is beginning to wane

If you used a US-based exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Binance US, Crypto.com, Bitstamp, Uphold, Bakkt, Robinhood, Paypal, Etc.) in 2025, you should receive a 1099-DA by the end of the week listing out your sales/trades of crypto.
